WOW! I played with it the moment it arrived. Setup is easy, but not much instruction is provided. I removed the memory card and inserted it into my computer, and installed the interface file. Laser height alignment is easy. Just flip the marker down until it touches the engrave object, tighten the screw to hold the laser in position, then flip the marker up. Some sample files were provided, and I can test the engraver right away. For a picture of ~2" by 3" it took about 8 minutes to create. So much fun and certainly will explore more engraving projects

Simple to operate. Worked right out the box. I have downloaded several png and jpg images from the internet and have had no issue with burning them on 1/2"X5"X10" boards, soft and hardwood. As a tip, don't burn these pieces inside your home. The smoke will set off your fire alarms, spoken from experience. The instructions offer a free download of the paid software, but I find the free software is more than adequate for what I do with the laser engraver.it is the perfect size for the desk I have in my shop. Very versatile as it will etch on wood, glass, metal, and other surfaces. It is a great value as an entry level engraver. It appears to be sturdy and well made. Great product all around.
