The media could not be loaded. First, i have little experience in painting and had painted myself most of my walls for my home, garage and also to my fence. So far i have been using roller and brush for my purpose of painting. For the first time, i started experimenting to paint on wood. I was upgrading my windows to install window Sill/Stool (Upper part of the stool) and Apron (Down part of the stool). I had lot of research and watched my videos and finally was able to install them nicely without any issues. Next and final step to make my window stool & apron look smooth and nicer is to paint them. For this, i used an Nylon Purdy brush bought from my local store and used with brush first. It did not leave much strokes as promised by the brush, but i could still see strokes when looked at an angle or by reflecting light on the stool. So, my experiment was not completely successful. I started exploring to try out sprayer and read and watched lot of videos again as there are lot many sprayers available in the market. Again, i am known to use brush and roller painting, but not with any sprayer so far. After watching several videos, i wanted to try out with a sprayer that doesn't cost too much and solve my purpose of window stool. I ordered this sprayer and arrived as promised with my prime. The sprayer came with all the parts, manual and other contents. Setup: 1. The setup is pretty straight forward and can be done in less than 2 minutes. 2. Connect the paint container to the sprayer gun. 3. Connect the air hose (Black hose you can see in the picture) to the main sprayer machine and the sprayer gun. 4. Connect to power outlet and adjust your dial speed for type of spray and you are good to go. Prep work (First run): 1. . I wanted to make sure the sprayer paint settings and it releases right set of amount before i try on my windows directly. 2. For this, there is an directional paper provided in the manual. But, I did not use it as I wanted to spray multiple times for testing. 3. I placed an plastic sheet (Drop cloth) to my wall in the garage and then placed an cardboard box (You can see in my pictures). 4. Then I started my testing with sprayer and used couple of times until I get hang of the sprayer. 5. I used both horizontal, vertical and full spray mode and full spray mode seemed to be lot better based on my experiment. 6. Once the power button is turned ON, there is lot of air that releases from the sprayer machine. 7. My recommendation is to make sure your wall/surface that you are using for paint is safely packed with tape or something 8. I used Frog tape for window edges and for other parts used regular blue tape (painters tape). You can check my video on how the setup was done and the sprayer results in this review. Paint contents & Sprayer settings I used: • I setup my window stool and got ready by sanding it already. • I used "Behr Marquee Ultra White Semigloss" paint from Home depot. • I was recommended to thin the paint (From the questions I posted to use this product) and I started with 5% of water first, checked my sprayer and finally ended up using 8% of water to my paint. • Used about 350Ml in the paint container and mixed 25ml of water to my paint. • Used 1.4 setting. The way I represented this number is - On the paint dial, the lower mode is represented with single big Line and then followed by smaller lines and the next mode is represented with two big lines. So, from the lower mode, I dialed to 4 lines which is 1.4 I am stating here. Actual Spray Results: • As my first run was kind of successful, I proceeded to spray on my window stool/apron. • Again, I had covered my window surface with cardboard paper and ensured no paint falls on my walls/window. • I started spraying in single direction and completed my spray. • Used full mode as it covers with more paint on my window and takes less time • To cover up all the window, it took about less than 2 minutes which was impressive. • After letting the paint dry, I noticed there is splatter of paint on my window at some places (See my picture) Problems: • There is lot of air that comes from the sprayer gun. My suggestion and HIGHLY RECOMMEND to wear protective glasses and mask as the spray splatters at you because of the AIR. • As the AIR releases a lot, the actual paint also moves/splatters in different direction. You cannot avoid this. • Also, after the spray is done there is splatter of paint at some places (Look at my pictures attached) Overall, my window stool experiment is not 100% successful. But, I wanted to try out again with different spray mode and had setup again different window this time. Third Run with different Settings: • There is no change to thinning and paint. • Adjusted my spray speed to 1.5 - close to 2 this time. • Set my mode to Horizontal spray Results: 1. By using Horizontal spray, the results are much better and do not splatter of paint on my window. 2. I had done double coat of paint this time to ensure the results look professional. 3. Check out my other pictures with horizontal mode. Cleaning: 1. Cleaning was very easy. As i used semi gloss paint, i just detached the black hose and took the container to sink and cleaned the container. 2. The cleaner tool also helpful to go and clean inner part of the sprayer. Final takeaway : • The sprayer worked for me only in specific mode (Full mode did not work for my needs) • Its's good and cheap sprayer for sure to serve your needs • There is lot of air that comes from the sprayer (Which made my windows result look different by splashing) For small projects, I would recommend to use this sprayer. You cannot do a complete wall or something as it could take longer and also the sprayer doesn't release much paint even with high setting to paint a wall. ... show more

  • Worth what you pay - but overall good

My first impression when I tried using this sprayer was that I was disappointed and would be sending it back….. but I decided to give it some time and ended up being relatively happy with it. Keep reading: If you want a tight, neat, professional grade sprayer, please just spend several hundred to thousands of dollars and get what you want. BUT… if you want to spend a little and have a tool at your disposal to do a few larger projects… this might be for you. The advertising materials for this sprayer show that it can be used for very small objects. Honestly I’m not sure that I would take the time or the effort it requires in order to do just one or two small pieces. The sprayer is not neat and tidy. It will make a significant mess so you’ll need a nice big area tarp off in order to spray even a small piece. I was set up outside on a very large tarp with a pop-up tent overhead in order to spray a couple pieces of furniture. I still ended up with paint all over myself from overspray and some nearby objects got paint on them as well. Nothing horrible, it was easy to clean up, but still worth noting. The other thing I will note is that it takes a little bit of trial and error to find the right mixture of paint and water. My first time using the sprayer I did not use enough water, and had to keep adding a little bit until I got it just right. My second time I tried to overcompensate, and ended up using way too much water. By about the third time I was able to effectively gauge what the paint needed to look like in the sprayer. I also think it’s worth noting for anybody purchasing the sprayer, that the spray and the paint on the object will look somewhat orange peeled when it is wet. Don’t worry! As the paint dries down will even out to a nice smooth finish. This was one of my first mistakes, I was used to other sprayers where the paint looked smoother even when it was wet. I kept trying to adjust the sprayer nozzle and the water content in the paint because I thought the orange peel was going to stick around. It did not. Cleanup of the sprayer itself is really quite simple. Just a lot of hot water and a nice big open sink and you’ll have this thing cleaned up in five minutes or so. It’s also quite simple to switch colors using the same process. This is actually one of my favorite things about it. ... show more
