  • Fits like aglove
First time a wrapper here. THe black gloss fits perfectly on my Mercedes E350 gloss black. It took me 2,5 hours to wrap the hood, but the results are amazing. It looks like paint. Important note for new wrappers: make sure to heat the foil, because that's the only way to wrap the car. Not too much, you will feel eventually what is enough. Many reviews say that 3M is top-of-the-line wrap foil, but it breaks too easily, so I recommend this one to be used. As you gain experience, I guess you can try different types and brands. ... show more

  • Flat surfaces only! Poor contour Adhesion!!
Size: 10ft x 5ft
The media could not be loaded. Pro- easy to use and Black is deep and glossy Con- because it's easy to use for repositioning, you lose the aggressive tack needed on contours. This vinyl would contour but then begin to bubble back up in the contoured areas. Once it's in the sun it will bubble up even more in those areas. you can press them back down most of the time, pin prick the air out for some but all end up returning within minutes because the tack just does not hold. Conclusion - I was wrapping fender flares for my suburban. I have been cutting vinyl for over 10 years and have tried many brands but this was reviewed as the best black gloss so I tried it. For my project it was a WASTE of time and money. I applied it to the driver side flares only and now may remove and strip them so I can have them painted instead. If that's the case then I do have half the vinyl still unused. I may use it on my hood because its flat or just attempt a return. I have honestly never seen vinyl lose its hold like that, especially within a minute of being applied and pressed. Even tried some heat and aggressive pressure but nothing helped. So if its flat and basic, go for it! Otherwise buy a premium brand!!! ... show more

  • Used to wrap a truck front end. Good for the price. Get a sample size to check color.
I wrapped a chrome bumper and a grill on my Silverado LTZ Z71. Vinyl came undamaged and got here quickly. Any minor creases came out with a little heat. Had some minor scratches which were easy to see as I got black. Wish I got a smaller sample as it's slightly more gray than my gloss black truck when viewed in full sunlight. See pics. Last pic is a before pic. I've worked with vinyl a few times, but not a pro. I found this vinyl pretty easy to work with on flatter surfaces It felt pretty thin and heated quickly. Too much pressure or heat and it tore pretty easily when conforming it. And I noticed it did not recover as well from stretching as some other vinyl I've used and it starts to lose color if stretched too much. If overworked or you have sweaty hands it starts to lose adhesion. It scratches VERY easily. I wrapped my felt applicator tool in an eyeglasses cleaning cloth to minimize scratches. The felt was leaving lots of scratches. Easy to see since I used black. Measure your item and add up to 10 inches in each direction you have enough to pull on. Watch some videos of it's your first time. If your wrapping a car I reccomend washing it, clay baring, then remove the part of possible and wrap it in a clean and warm room away from pet hair or dust. ... show more

  • Unsure why, but it peeled
I applied it to the roof of my car after prep (wash, iron removal, wash, clay bar, wash, isopropyl alcohol wipe). The material seems reasonably durable, comes with a clear protective cover, and responds well to heat. I was able to get it smooth with heat, and other than some sloppy cuts (my error) I was happy with it. Applied in-doors between 70 and 85 F. Four days later I took a lengthy trip on the Interstate, and after about 80 miles it started peeling off and flapping in the wind. Maximum speed was 75 MPH. The flapping in the wind caused multiple tears (almost like jagged fractures), and by the time I reached the next exit to pull over the tears were so numerous that the whole thing had to be scrapped. This is strange because the surface was clean, the material seemed plenty "sticky", and the amount of force needed to lift and re-position it during install seemed right. I am at a loss on this. ... show more

  • Great product for the DIYers.
This Vinyl was great to work with. It responded just as intended. Would definitely recommend. Had to wrap a commercial freezer in a hurry. The results left the customer satisfactorily pleased.
