Was looking for a respectable brown dress shoe that felt more like a sneaker for the office. I have 11.5 W and it can be difficult to find a decent shoe that fits, especially for narrow dress shoes. the upper is all soft and good looking leather. I have been wearing them for a week and they are light and comfortable with almost no break in period. Roughout darker leather around the tongue, heel, and where the sole meets the shoe leather makes for a nice touch. Soul is more of an eggshell than a pure white that actually suits the color of the shoe and should hold up better through time. These shoes look better than in the online photos. They fit well and are very comfortable. I bought the tan, and the uppers are a nice quality lightly-brushed leather. I've been wearing them for several weeks; they've softened a bit as leather does, conforming to my feet, but remain durable and supportive. The shoes are attractive. My wife likes how they look! The fit and comfort of a shoe is personal and varies from one person to another. Likewise one's perception of cost. Bought a pair the day before vacation. Perfect fit. Comfortable from the first moment I put them on. Walked 20 miles in them one day in Paris (so lot's of cobblestone) and my feet felt great. I was very disappointed with these shoes. They began falling apart after only six weeks of normal use. For the price, I expected them to last at least a year. Rockport used to be a reliable, reputable brand, but now I’m questioning their quality. I’ve reached out to the company and was offered no sympathy.
