Easy. Curves are a bit more challenging, heart gun needed. However, I lifted the vinyl.off at least half dozen times and it didn't seem to bother the vinyl or adhesive backing. Looks great.     • Worth It If You Know What You Are Doing

You have to be really good to install this on curvy lenses. I tried doing it on a old 1st gen Focus and it was just too hard to do the taillights. Flatter lenses are super easy. The product is great. Vvivid has awesome products. It's the installer that sucks.

Overall the tint looks great, from 5 ft away. There is definitely a learning curve as most other comments mentioned. This stuff is thick and that helps and hurts depending on what you are doing. If your a perfectionist buy enough to do things twice, trust me it will be needed. I recommend doing everything you can with the tint "cold" and then use heat when you can't get any better. You should absolutely be wearing black nitrate gloves, helps with keeping your body oils off the sticky side and heat off your hands. If your not removing your lights absolutely need the squeegee, I had a cheap wrapping kit that worked perfectly. The tint is only so forgiving with kinks and it is kinda easy to ruin the air release. I used dark on my tail lights and it kills the reverse lights about but absolutely looks amazing with little effect on tail light visibility. I used light on my headlights and it doesn't really look like the light output was effected much. I am posting this on both the light and dark products. ... show more

This was the first time I've ever tinted headlights myself, and this was fairly easy to use IF you follow the directions! Make sure you have a heat gun, you will need it. Creases come out very easy with heat, and seems to adhere well. Great color with no purple hue, and seems great for the price. Make sure you measure your lights and buy enough material, I didn't measure before and had to order a 2nd roll, that was on me though. In photo: right side is before, left side is after ... show more

Being very familiar with the vivid brand of vinyl and being a fair price for a package of 2 . I went and ordered the light smoke with the plan to do my front headlights and my rear taillights . When unpackaging there was more than enough to do all of them . Have your tools ready . A heat gun , razors, a felt squeezy and masking tape . Clean the area 3 times with rubbing alcohol. The key to this is POST heat . If you don't know what this means. do your self a favor and watch you tube videos . The color was perfect , light transmission was not impaired and It DID NOT give off a purple tint. ... show more

I really like it, I'd like it to be a little darker though. I bought the double roll pack and it was enough to do my headlights, taillights and fog lights. It wasn't the easiest thing I've done to my car...my lights aren't one smooth layer, there are curves on them. This wasn't an easy install. It does adhere very well and you don't need to wet it or add anything to set it. I had to heat and stretch the tint at the same time but I still couldn't get all of it to lay down smooth. Up close all 4 lights have creases and bubbles; from a distance it's beautiful. Not a bad tester for 20 bucks. I'm going to have it done a little darker professionally. I'd recommend it if you have a second set of hands to help you. Make sure to buy the accessories kit with the velvet covered applicator. I would buy it again but only if someone else put it on for me, I pretty much jacked it up. ... show more

I was very surprised with the quality of this stuff. Goes on really nice. I did a dry application with a hair dryer and I have zero bubbles and zero streaks. If you can be patient you can get it perfect! I’ve never tinted anything but this was so easy compared to what I expected. It took me an hour and a half to do the taillights since I was working slowly and making it perfect but the results are worth it. I had a squeegee but ended up only using it to tuck the corners. Using my thumb or palm I was able to get all the bubbles out while laying the film. If it starts giving you wrinkles or a hard time hit it with a hairdryer for a few seconds and it softens right up. Extremely forgiving! Make sure you clean your taillights and corners for a good adhesion. 10/10 recommend ... show more

I like this tint in the light smoke, but it’s definitely not as thin or flexible as regular window tint. You need to be patient—it can be tricky, especially around tight curves. I used a heat gun on low and installed it alone. On my Tahoe, I had to cut the taillight tint into two pieces (one for the side and one for the front). Whenever I tried to do it in one piece, I ended up with bubbles and “fingers.” Doing it in two parts with just a small overlap on the front looked much better and was easier to manage. The adhesive is strong, be careful—if you drop it on the sticky side, you’re done. That said, I was impressed with how well it held up. I must have pulled it off 5–6 times while adjusting, and it never lost its stickiness. Overall, it looks great once finished, but expect a bit of trial and error. ... show more
