Before wrapping anything, first watch TONS of videos on how to do it. That is the biggest advice I could give anybody looking to try vinyl wrapping. This was my first ever wrap job. Since I aimed to wrap a fairly large area, I had a friend help me out. We had the right tools, took our time to do things right, and had open minds to learn along the way. Personally, it turned out much better than either of us could have imagined, and lots of people agree (some even thinking we had it professionally wrapped). Adhesion was okay, but could have been better. Stretches pretty good when heated up with a heat gun. Overall pretty easy stuff to work with, but wrapping around corners, such as the sunroof, took lots of time and patience. So far, it has held up nicely and seems to be durable, but this review was made after only one week of application. I also wrapped some interior plastic pieces, and those have been okay, definitely not adhering as good as on the roof. Overall, it is a good product for the price. ... show more

As most people, I thought the 6ft x 5ft carbon fiber vinyl roll ought to be enough to wrap the hood of a tiny car like the 2008-2014 Audi TT. Wrong. I need about 6.5 feet side to side. Vvivid should offer a supersize hood/roof roll of 6ft x 7ft or replace the 6x5 roll altogether.

This was my first time wrapping anything other than doing a chrome delete on trim above my doors (but it was a pre-cut template). I watched a lot of videos and took my time. Overall, it took me about 4 hours and there's only a couple of little things I'm not happy with, but people don't notice unless I point it out. ... show more

First off, I hate to give this a 3 star review, because it does look amazing, it is possibly the best looking carbon fiber vinyl out there, but... it's too hard to install. Now I'm no pro, no claims to be, but I'm pretty good at wrapping stuff in vinyl. I've done quite a bit, but this stuff was a nightmare. Now before you start thinking I dont know anything, or I'm too inexperienced, I know a few professionals that do this everyday, all day. I took my car to them, and they said I did an awesome job, and also said the same thing, that this stuff is really really difficult to install, and they avoid this particular brand carbon fiber unless a customer specifically requests it. They also said dont plan on it lasting more than about a year. I haven't had it that long but we will see. So then, it went onto my trunk easy. On the roof, most of it went down, but I had to stretch it with a bit of heat slightly near the front passenger side, much less than the normal 10 percent you can get away with on most color change vinyl. It glossed. Not crazy, but I can see it and it bothers me. Then doing the hood, let me tell you this stuff is really hard to stretch, and a hood like mine is very complex. I'm pretty strong and I've used quite a few different brands, this stuff does not cold stretch, absolutely requires heat. Needless to say, tiny, but almost unnoticable defects did occur. If you really want this color, definitely do have an experienced professional install it for you. I'm experienced enough to have got it done, with imperfections that are pretty hard to spot, pros can most likely do better, but expect to spend more than normal to have it done because they have to do more to get it on your car properly. ... show more
