They were clean, wrapped in little plastic bags with padding between items and Styrofoam around the entire package. Honestly, it's the best packed item I've ever received. They stack and store perfectly, I can freeze them or put them in the fridge, I can heat them up in the microwave or oven and the lids snap on creating a spill proof barrier for taking them on the go. At first I was really excited to get these glass containers. There are a lot of them, and I like the sizes - they are convenient for my family's leftovers. However, the lids are difficult to align properly and get the tabs to snap down. I discovered that you can't do two opposing sides, you have to do one at a time, going around the container.
