This vtech monitor is so nice. We previously had an older version that was smaller and only had one camera that didn’t pan or tilt, so this is definitely an upgrade! Our other Vtech was very durable and I’m hoping this will be too. I love the huge screen! We bought this since we’re going to have another baby soon and will have one in our room and a toddler in her own room. I’m excited to see what it’s like once we use both cameras, but the view range on this is pretty great and shows most of our daughter’s room. The sound seems good and the temperature sensor is much more accurate than our older Vtech. The only thing I wish was different is the stand part for the monitor. I wish it had more of a kickstand or something because it does fall over easily, but that’s a small issue for the quality you’re getting! ... show more

    • Good for the price if you’re looking for a basic, 2-camera system

Overall, a very good monitor and I got it for a great price! It was time to ditch the 1 camera in my toddlers room and we opted for this 2 camera system. The signal is actually fantastic compared to my old infant optics. Comes with wall mounts and hardware. We mounted it upside down near the ceiling so we can get a good view of her entire room. Unfortunately my youngest isn’t fond of his crib yet so we haven’t really used the split screen too much, but we have tested it out and looks good! Big screen which is an upgrade from the old monitor. It has a shushing sound you can turn on that helped soothe my son, I find this feature really cool. I do wish it came with two chargers for the parent unit, but the battery is actually impressive at the moment (if you have it on battery saving mode), so I don’t find myself having to move the charger often. I have had two issues: -one day out of nowhere, the temperature of my toddlers room just disappeared from the parent unit. I looked everywhere on all the settings playing around to no avail. Finally decided to unplug and plug back in the camera in her room and the temperature came back. I’m glad I was able to fix it easily but I was so irked that it even happened. -the parent unit suddenly has something loose inside of it. Like, something is moving around on the inside when you lightly shake it. It’s not affecting the functionality as of today (had the monitor for two months almost I think). We have never dropped it. I just hope it doesn’t end up crapping out altogether. ... show more

Works great! People mentioned it doesn’t stand up on the couch but if you put it on a hard surface you won’t have any issue. The temperature did stop working about 1 week in but I just unplugged the camera and reset, it’s been working perfectly fine now

I'm sure there's enough videos that I don't need to add my own but this video monitor while great for the price is absolutely crap sound wise. It was right next to a room and could not pick up on one of my kids crying bloody murder when we could hear him across the house. Monitor has issues picking up on sounds next to it altogether. My kid has screamed at the monitor and not only does the sound lag it hardly picks up even at full volume. The other con for this thing is the image quality is super meh. If you wanna see if the kid is sleeping or breathing the image fuzzes so much you can't even tell if their eyes are closed. The battery quality also is weirdly 50/50 on how long it lasts. We'll charge it fully and it'll either last hours near the full time it says or half that. No changed settings. It also does not do good near any sunlight. Ruins the image entirely. We have curtains in the room we have this in and sunlight just icks it. It cannot face the window at all. Some pros to this are its night vision. The night vision is pretty bright and I'm decently impressed with it. The two way talk is nice as well. My kids can definitely hear me through it. Though it is a little bit of a con for them that we can't hear each other at the same time if they make noise back. And that the camera mutes itself any time it moves. This camera also has no invert features that will allow you to change the image set up of the camera. Like if you turn it upside down on the hanging mount your side images are goofed. So to have the image perfect without goof you will have a blind spot directly down. And to add to the sound being garbage I turned on the music. Super loud on the parent unit. Actually went out to hear it myself and nothing. Barely anything. It is what it is. So overall to sum it up despite its low price for a double came monitor...if ever comes to need to buy a new one or replace...I would not buy this one again for my needs. ... show more
