I rotate my house phones out in my house, every few weeks. When I have to put this set away, it makes me upset a little because it works really well. After a week of having these 2 phones, I dropped 1 of the handsets on a metal bed rail. I was expecting it to break but it survived. I didn't realize that these phones were very solid. The speaker phone is loud and clear, unlike other phones that I swap it out with. Their is 4 ringtone options that it has. It's the first 4 tones that are on every vtech and at&t phones. There is no intercom feature on these phones. That's okay for me but others might want that. I do have the Answering Machine version of this set, so having no answering machine didn't bother me. Range distance is decent. I enjoy this set so much, to the point I bought the newer version of this, which allows the user to connect a Bluetooth headset to it. Overall it's a very good phone. I will recommend.

This is a basic cordless phone and answering machine, but I does everything I need. It has additional capabilities that I don't use. The online manual is clear and easy to follow. The price was fair. I have found no problems with it so far.

We don't have a cell phone. What passes for a landline these days is all we have, (kids, there used to be a copper wire phone line in the walls, and an outlet called a jack built into the wall... and the phone worked even when the electric went out...) and being disabled, cordless is a necessity. Old phone base broke suddenly, couldn't charge anymore, had to get a new phone ASAP. This by some miracle actually was delivered in 2 days, by Amazon; not sent by the post office like everything else recently. Because Amazon delivered it, it wasn't damaged, and actually works. The delete button is different than our old model, and the base & phone itself are slightly different size/shape than our old one too... so hoping we could just keep using the old phone and charge it with this one's base didn't work. Don't like the new built in speakerphone "feature" at all; old one didn't have that and this makes the volume incredibly loud, no matter how you adjust the volume setting. The ringer echoes so loud with the speaker in the back of the handset... and dialing it can be heard rooms away too because that comes out the speaker too. no ability to turn this off/down. no turning the ringer off either. But it's still better than all these newfangled "smartphones" and crap like that. (We're past middle age, grew up in rural areas that didn't have internet at all until we were in our 20s, and we never had/got used to tech. having to figure out ordering stuff online was hard enough; I still can't figure out call waiting! it was too expensive so we didn't have it growing up, and now I just hang up on people trying to check the other line haha.) overall this is more complicated than I'd like, and WAY too loud with the speakerphone thing for my liking, but it does the job so far.

Works OK with one exception. We receive many junk calls interspersed with a few we'd like to answer. Unfortunately, it appears that once the answer machine comes on there is no way to override and answer/talk. Basically requires a call back when every other phone we have owned allows picking up calls from people you want to talk with when the answering machine is on. Have attempted to turn off the answering machine to answer manually but phone appears to hang up. After a 20 minute wait, technical support said they would look in the manual then hung up when I asked the question.
