Not much else to say. Four (4) after purchase, the base unit quit working, so no more ringy-dingy. I would avoid this item unless you see an update where the vendor made it right. Vtech sent a replacement unit. The base was fine, but the power cord had quit supplying power. Once I plugged in the new power cord, the original unit worked as before.

Answering machine only used for land line, not used for cell lines. No call count display for recorded voicemail messages left on cell service provider? VM key does not retrieve voice mail messages from cell provider. If you want a cell phone capability in different rooms without carrying your cell phone with you, I do not recommend this product. The $44 cost does not make it worth you while to return it. Give it to goodwill.

Purchased unit back in July 2024 to replace a previous VTech purchased in 2018. The handsets worked well until about October 2024. For the last 3 months, the phones have periodically stopped working. The phone will ring and the person on the other end is able to hear us, but we can't hear them. This appears to have been a known issue and the workaround is removing the batteries from all the headsets and unplugging the base unit for 30 minutes before replacing everything. When this happens every couple days, it does get irritating, especially when these phones aren't exactly cheap.

Before we install this VTech phone, we were getting three to four spam calls a day, sometimes more. We are on the Do Not Call List but the spammers are finding new ways around this. Installation was easy. There's even a voice feature that will walk you through setup. The calls stopped immediately. You will only get calls you add to your white list. Unsolicited callers get a prompt that asks them to press pound and leave a message. Robot spammers can't do this. There was one problem we had initially. I noticed we were getting a call every 30 minutes (which did not ring) but there was no CID information. We tried to resolve this through the very patient VTech support but nothing was working. We were also getting strange readings from our home alarm system. I decided to pack up the phone and send it back. At the 11th hour, before return the phone, we figured out what happened. We recently had a new fiber transceiver installed to the house. Also, we do not have messaging service through our phone provider because this phone has an answering machine. What happened is the new fiber box turned on messaging. The messaging service sends a signal every 30 minutes to your phone. Therefore, the VTech was showing a call every 30 minutes. Problem solved. We kept the phone and it has been blissfully quiet ever since.
