  • Quiet and efficient
Size: 10,000 BTU
I’ve been using the Vremi 10000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner for a week now, and I’m quite pleased with my purchase. First and foremost, it lives up to its promise of being a quiet unit, making it perfect for keeping my room comfortable without any distracting noise. Installation was a breeze, and I appreciate how easy it is to move around thanks to its portability. The unit cools my 500 sq ft room efficiently, and the powerful cooling fan ensures a significant drop in temperature during hot days. The reusable filter is a nice touch, it will save me money on replacement filters, and the auto shut-off feature adds peace of mind, especially when I forget to turn it off. Overall, the Vremi 10000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner has been a great addition to my home, providing cool comfort without the hassle. I highly recommend it for small to medium-sized rooms. ... show more

  • This thing really saved us during the last heat dome...
Size: 12000 BTU
I say that "last heat dome" as I suspect they'll happen more and more. But this worked nicely, as it effectively cooled almost three rooms. Not as good as central AC, but if you don't have that option, this works fine. Note that this thing uses the 5.9" diameter on the venting tube. It comes with the adapter for windows, but I was using it be a patio screen so I had to order the adapter kit. They're inexpensive and easy to install, and worked well. I wish I read the fine-print about it not having a heater function, but I'm not saddened by that. ... show more

  • Works well, tstat is horrible
Bought this for a small home office that had no heat or A/C. (~100 sq ft) No issues cooling or heating the space. Biggest gripe is the thermostat is horribly inconsistent. It gets “stuck” and it does so inconsistently. One day it’s set for 65F and the room is around 66F, reasonable difference. Another day it’s set for 65F and the room is 76F! Have to adjust it down several degrees to get it to shut off. So if you’re using it in a space that is typically occupied, no issues. If you’re using it to maintain a room automatically with no one coming and going, you’re going to see huge temp swings (and electric bill!) ... show more

  • Solid unit
Size: 10,000 BTU
I have owned this unit for over 4 years. It still cools the same as the day I got it. Having a remote and fan option is awesome. The fan is great for white noise sleeping. The compressor is a little loud when it kicks on but not so loud you can’t sleep through it. The only negative is the led screen doesn’t fully show the temo anymore. Never leaked and rarely have to empty it. ... show more

  • My best friend - 2 in 1 is perfect and saves on money
This thing is my best friend. I live in North Florida so we get cold winters and hot summers. We are serviced by GRU so our utility bills are one of the highest in the state so we can't afford to cool and heat the entire house if I'm the only one here (I work remotely). This little beauty gets COLD in the summer yet our power bill has gone DOWN (the lowest it's ever been, and our power usage has been way down too). In the Winter when it's freezing outside it gets toasty and warm, and on some days I use both the AC and heater depending on the time of day. In the summer we keep the house at 82 but I keep my office around 65, and in the winter we keep the house at 66 and I keep my office around 72. The remote is nice but it can be a bit temperamental (sometimes I press the Off button but it just switches to a different mode - likely user error). I believe in setup it said it can go as low as 60 and as high as 90, but I haven't needed to use either extreme because I'm not insane. I love this thing so much. ... show more

  • Review Updated: Initially good, but serious issues over time.
I'll leave my initial review at the bottom of this updated one for reference. I bought this air conditioner in June 2021, approximately two years ago now. The unit started out great. Ice cold air, very effective, and feels nice and sturdy giving off a sense of high quality. Unfortunately after about 6 months of use the thermostat seemed to no longer function properly, leading the unit to stay on almost all the time (using lots of electricity) and cool the room more than needed. After a few weeks of this behavior, the unit started becoming less and less effective not putting out as much cool air. I contacted Vremi customer support, and to their credit, they quickly sent out a replacement unit, no questions asked. This replacement unit also started out strong, with crisp cold air, but now on one of the coolest days we've had this far this summer, I just walked into the room where it was running. The unit was set to 74 degrees, but the room was 64 degrees (as measured on a separate thermometer), and the unit was still on full blast shooting out ice cold air. There appears to be some sort of design flaw in these units resulting in no more than one summers worth of proper operation before things go wrong, which quite frankly is unacceptable at the $500+ price point I originally paid for the unit. That said, at the time of writing this, I see that the price has gone down to $299, but even at that price you should expect to get more than one season out of an air conditioner. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend that anyone buys one of these. Go for one of the more established brands, you'll be happier long run. Previous initial ownership review is below this line: __________________________________________________________________________________________ I had not heard of the Vremi brand before, but they definitely made a great first impression. This thing may be mostly plastic, but it is built like a tank, and it seems to cool very well too. Note, they say that it needs to be plugged into an outlet that is on its own circuit (breaker), and this is true. It pulls 12 amps at full load, and if anything else than something very light is on the same circuit, the breaker will trip. They probably recommend against it, but if you need an extension cord in order to get power from a different circuit, be sure to get one of a high enough gauge, as most household cords are 16ga, and they will heat up dangerously if carrying 12A. (also note, gauge is confusing, higher numbers mean smaller wire. You want something labeled AT LEAST 14ga, if not 12ga, depending on the length. I'm very impressed with this unit. Based on this I will be looking for Vremi products in the future. Just about the only thing that could make this model better is if it were a two tube design, with an intake and an exhaust, as that would make it more efficient. ... show more

  • It works well and easy
Size: 12000 BTU
It's new but so far so good. I'm here in Florida and I at home so I don't want to lower my entire ac because my office gets hot. This baby does the trick. It's bigger than I thought it would and it's not loud but not quiet either. For me though it's like white noise so it's fine. Keeps my room cool. I added a picture of the energy guide rating as I couldn't find it anywhere here. ... show more
