    • Not ideal for this glasses wearer
I needed to replace my old VR headset as my phone doesn't fit it. I had no clue what to get to replace them, so when I saw the UMEEUTOO VR Headset on Vine, I grabbed it. They look the same in person as in the pics, and they had no weird smells or chemical odors. They fit my Samsung Galaxy s21 fe, but it was pretty tight. A smaller phone would probably fit it just fine. I'm near sighted, but I read without glasses, and that's how I used my last VR headset. The adjustments on this one didn't adjust enough, so I thought I'd try them in my computer glasses, which aren't very big. They were, however, too big for this headset, and once I pushed them into the padding the headset pulled my glasses off my face LOL With these glasses, my eye doctor says I have 20/20 vision at 16", but they also didn't work out well, and the adjustments aren't adjustable enough for me to enjoy VR on my phone without everything seeming too close, which is uncomfortable. To sum up, these may be fine for those who aren't glasses wearers or have different prescriptions, but ultimately the adjustments didn't let me get a clear image either with or without glasses, and my glasses - which aren't very big - stuck in the headset. And it was hard to get my phone, which is a larger than average one, to fit. I had no problems with my VR previous headsets. As I write this, I'm not sure how to rate this item. It pretty much is as described, but it didn't work well for me. I'll call it a 2 for my use as it isn't very useful, but I'd think it could be a 4 or maybe a 4.5 for those with the right vision and no glasses. So I'll consider them a 3.5, and since there is no such rating on Amazon, I'll round the score up to a 4. ... show more

This is a good VR visor for holding a smartphone in place to view splitscreen VR entertainment. It seems like it is well constructed, but the plastic shell is kind of thin, but that makes it light. It does fit comfortable over the face, but the headbands feel like they sit too high on the back of the head to be stable. ... show more

I got these VR Goggles for my grandson to use when he comes to visit. He tried them out the other day and said he likes them a lot. The only thing he didn't like was he had to take them off to adjust sound, pause, etc. I tried them on but couldn't get them to fit right (too uncomfortable for me and felt top-heavy). My grandson, however, is the gamer in the family and is happy trying out every new gadget he can get a hold of.     • Fun and inexpensive way to experience VR!
This UMEEUTOO VR Headset works with many smartphones and gives you the ability to play with virtual reality without investing in an expensive full VR unit. I really am not sure if I would use a more expensive device, but this was an opportunity to play around with it and I am impressed with how well it works! The headset itself is fairly comfortable. It does take some adjusting and practice to get the hang of it. One of the things you give up over a dedicated VR unit is that this is more manual and is possible to have some things off that make it a poor experience. Both eyes are adjustable to fit your eye spacing and vision. Each side can move left and right and have their own focus. You also have to get the phone screen centered correctly in the headset for the best experience. I wear glasses and have a decently strong prescription to see far away (I absolutely cannot drive without glasses on) and I basically max out the focus in one direction but can see clearly when I do. If you have a very strong prescription, you may still need glasses or contacts in to use. It's less comfortable with glasses on but still usable for me. I am using this with my iPhone 13 pro. The headset works with certain videos filmed with a side by side screen which you do have to dig around for, but it is pretty cool when you find some that work. Especially ones that are a higher resolution and are more realistic-looking. Some are fixed frame but some use the motion of your phone which allows you to look around which is a really fun experience. I was also able to find some games in the app store that worked well. You are able to "click" on things by aiming the dot on the screen and holding it on the spot. This allows you to fully interact with the virtual environment. Throw some earbuds in and you get a very immersive experience. It really amazes me how well it works considering how simple and inexpensive the headset is. Overall, I think this is a very worthwhile purchase and a great way to access VR at an excellent value. It's not a dedicated VR headset and isn't going to perform at the level of an expensive unit. You may have to fidget with it for a bit to get the hang of it but once you do it really is easy enough to use and works great. If you are looking to try VR and are looking for a great value for a fun experience, this is an excellent option. ... show more

This works pretty well. I tried it with my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and it fits fine. Watched part of a 3d movie (on my phone), which is just an ok experience but that isn’t the fault of this product. Overall, it’s cool.

Simple controls adjust horizontal eye offset from center and focusing for each eye independently. The controls don’t hold position setting well. The range of focus as insufficient for my eyes without glasses. My glasses have continuous focus lens not fixed focus lens which are impossible to use with the goggles. Goggles are difficult to use with any glasses because there is insufficient depth clearance. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I think this is a very good product in terms of the quality and the comfort level. Really the only two gripes I have with it is not having at least one single button that you can use to touch your screen and the durability of the plastic shield that will keep your phone in place. For the shield, it has one single clip that I can see eventually failing, but you could fix that by perhaps using a velcro strap of some kind. Apart from that, it performs as advertised and the overall weight and sharpness of the image quality will depend on the device you decide to use. ... show more
