This might be my most favorite umbrella ever. I have bought small umbrellas, reverse umbrellas, windproof umbrellas... They all seem to have the same problem. I get soaking wet when trying to open or close them. This umbrella is extremely sturdy feeling. And when you press the button to open it, you better be ready, because it has enough force to eject something into space. This is good because it opens very quickly. It is a little hard to close so you have to use both hands to push it back together. But that is because it has one heck of a spring. You can see from the pictures of the underside that it is well designed. It is large enough to keep you and whatever you are carrying dry. And the shape is more of a dome shape, so it protects you from the rain if there is a little bit of a wind associated with it. I have one in my car and one in my husband's car. I was surprised about the feeling of the material, it feels like a thicker material than the other brands that I own. I think it will prevent the water from going through. the handle feels very smooth and comfortable to open and close them. and, they are a good size for portability. we got them for taking to the beach, as this summer has been so hot, that it's useful for blocking the sun. also, we've had a good bit of rain, and these have been useful to have. we had a big rain when i took my family out to a museum, and the umbrella worked very well to keep me dry when going to and from the vehicle. i had to close it up when going into the museum, and i didn't even use a bag on it -- there were no drips, and it closed up very easily together w/ the velcro holder. ... show more

The open and close of these umbrellas are so quick, much better than other umbrellas that I used to have. I don't need to wait a second or two, or shake a little to open it. It's a big deal when the rain is pouring. The folding inside is another cool feature. Even though it cannot keep my car completely dry, it minimize the amount of water. I love my new umbrellas. First of all having two lets me keep one in my car and one by the back door...never without an umbrella! This was a great idea inverting an umbrella, it makes getting in & out of the car a joy & the handle is comfortable too. The umbrella is extremely well made, nice heavy fabric and very good looking. The way this umbrella closes, it holds the water inside and keeps you from getting wet. And the two-pack was very economical! This will make an awesome gift for Christmas! Nice umbrella. The reverse design is good because it keeps the dripping water inside it when folded rather than outside. I try to buy only reverse umbrellas when possible and it's good to find this feature in a travel umbrella. It also has a bright reflective strip around the edge, which is a welcome safety feature. The instructions that come with the umbrella are hilariously badly written, but that's OK since it's obvious how to use it and diagrams are fine. Highly recommended. ... show more

This arrived just in time for us to take on a vacation holiday. It feels much heavier, more solidly built than typical stubby travel umbrellas. The opening and closing mechanisms seem particularly well-built and smooth in operation. We like the heavier than usual waterproof fabric.
