It actually turned out to be awesome!!! Super easy to put together. It says you need a Phillips screwdriver (not provided) but I actually didn't use it at all. You can easily twist in all the screws yourself, as the 1-sided screws it tells you to tighten with the screwdriver go into holes that you actually can't tighten (holes are too big). Instead, they'll tighten when you place the corner rods on top of the screws and twist them in place to screw them in. The only thing I wish could be different is if there were a couple more dimming options with each tug of the pull-chain, as even with a warm light lightbulb it's still pretty bright. For the price point ($40) it’s great. It looks higher quality than it is and has an almost Japanese feel to it. I’m really happy with it! Not too hard to assemble…(Phillips screwdriver required not included). Definitely not sturdy…I wouldn’t put anything fragile on the shelves and I would not buy this if I had babies/toddlers as it could easily get pulled down in them. If you do go for this with little ones be aware you’ll need to buy something to fix it to the wall. ... show more

Overall this lamp stand is a great buy. It is easy to put together, my 11-year-old son put it together with no problems. It is solid and seems pretty sturdy. The shade part of it is the only thing really lacking. It falls over easily but as long as you don't bump into it it should be fine. For the price it is a very good lamp. ... show more

I bought a pair of these to replace some floor lamps my puppy chewed up. These are a great replacement. I didn't want them as high as they were designed, and it was very easy to eliminate one shelf. I am happy overall with the design, ease of assembly and top. I have smart bulbs in them and Alexa controls them perfectly. My only complaints are there are no diffusers on the top and the cord attachment is a bit clumsy, but these are minor issues. ... show more

It was very easy to assemble, it took me only about 20 minutes. The only complaint is that it is a little wobbly but when I put some books on the bottom shelf that helped it. Overall a very good product for the price and it is also very appealing to the eye.
