This light fixture looks great, but it is incredibly difficult to maneuver the bulbs as they need to be inserted from the top of the fixture - so you are essentially working blind. Helps to have small (& clean) hands.

We ordered a similar light but it did not have the cover on the bottom and as one walked down the hall, the light bulb was just too bright. We found this version and it i perfect. The cover on the bottom, shades the bulb but still provides all the light needed. Our electrician suggested this type to us and glad we were able to find it on Amazon. ... show more

Needed something other than the builder boob light. We have Phillips Hue bulbs in it. They fit perfect. Easy to put up however, we did use the original screw mount bracket in the ceiling, as the one that came with the light didn’t fit properly. We put the matte side of the light cover facing down to avoid glare. Overall it looks great and gave an updated look to the room. Worth the money. The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to love this light. It was the size and color I expected, but the plexiglass "diffuser" came terribly scratched up, fogged up in parts and looked terrible. I wiped it down and cleaned it the best I could, with not much improvement. The video shows the damage. I could have returned it - yes - but hoped after installation it wouldn't be as noticeable. We worked on installing the light and the instructions were SO horrible that I had to use my own knowledge of wiring to get it properly installed. It took MUCH MUCH longer than a typical light install should take. The directions were unclear, with a tiny diagram that didn't even show all the parts clearly. When steps were listed, they were vague and left me to a lot of trial and error to figure out. You install the diffuser before you connect wiring, which meant it was nearly impossible to access and reach what you needed to with the diffuser in the way. And with all the handling of the diffuser while attempting to install the light, I made it so much dirtier than before. I was so frustrated with the installation, but happy enough with the light itself, that I left it up. Since the installation, I've had more than one person tell me I need to clean the diffuser - so obviously it very noticeable and that's a huge bummer for my beautiful piano room. I bought this as my kitchen light fixture did not have a filter and it was way too bright in my eyes. The bottom layer is made of glass, which feels sturdy and perfectly cuts the brightness of the bulbs, it's easy on your eyes. Price wise this was a good deal, I bought it under $30 so overall I would say it's a good purchase even though I'm not thrilled with the design. ... show more

The first light I ordered was missing mounting brackets and the proper mount screws that matched the bronze of the lamp. After I returned the lamp someone from the company reached out to me via email and confirmed that the missing pieces were not a recurring issue. So I ordered again, and thankfully all the mounting pieces were included. The only reason for the four stars is the initial issue with missing parts.I am moderately handy and installed the light myself in probably an hour. The light looks great, and you just cannot beat it for the price. I was actually upset that I had to originally return the light, because I could not find another one that I liked as much that did not cost multiples of this one. The shade does have a seam, but do not think that is unexpected, so you just have to place out of what may be the most common view. I put the light in my dining room and considering it replaced an old golden chandelier, this light makes the entire room look so much better. Since the light takes three bulbs it also does a great job of lighting up the room. Their is a plastic insert that fits below the light that does a good job of hiding the fixture, from underneath the light I do not even see any open seems between the placement of the plastic insert and the sides of the shade. The shade is primarily white, while the plastic insert is frosted white, so the white light shines through, I do not notice any notable dimming of the light or tinting of the light due to the color of the shade or plastic insert. The light has been up for at least a month now and all is well. Very happy with the light and the price. ... show more
