My son wanted a safe for his 7th birthday. This is a better version than some of the more Toyish options out there. It works well and we keep a key in the event that he ever forgets his password (which he changes often). I only gave it 4 stars because the safe isn’t marketed as a kids toy, yet that’s almost all I can see it being used for. I suppose putting valuables in the safe would provide at least some obstacle to theft, but not a lot. This safe is exactly as the seller described. Worked exactly as the instructions said, very very easy for me to set up with no issues at all. The instruction book is very clear and easy to read. The safe really small, so lower your expectations. The fireproof envelope is a nice extra, but also small. It's easy to put in the batteries, and set up the keycode. However, the beeping of the buttons is obnoxiously loud and there is no way to lower the volume. I mean it is SO LOUD. My husband is deaf in one ear and partially deaf in the other & wasn't wearing his hearing aid & he heard it 4 rooms away. That is my only real complaint. The only other comment I have is that it is also extremely lightweight, even when items are inside. Very portable if that's what you need, but could easily be picked up & carried away by pretty much anyone with zero effort. This would actually do really well inside a larger safe, for smaller items that need extra protection. Overall great price, does it's job especially in a pinch, but YMMV! I will probably give this to my teenager after I get a larger sturdier safe but this suits my needs for now. ... show more
