I have slept on this for a week stretch and it was very comfortable and stable for me. I added a thick blanket as a "topper" and used twin sheets from Ikea. It is on the firm side. I raised the head portion too watch tv and it was comfortable as well. I would say its similar to how a couch sits but more like a lounge chair. I found it to be very sturdy unlike a outdoor fold up lounger. You have to make sure you have all the positions fully locked in. I add large pillows as a back rest against a wall and it sits fine for one oversize seat option heavy enough to not slide away from the wall on wood floors. I would add I am able to store my sheets and blanket in side the zipper compartments. I love it as an extra bed for a quest or myself. I would highly recommend it. Wanted to share a review of this as there weren't many when I ordered. I wanted a stylish piece that didn't look like an obvious futon. I had a piece similar to this in a place I rented in Europe and it was perfect for guests...and had never been able to find one until now. It arrived boxed and the individual pieces were wrapped really nicely...with the faux leather pieces wrapped as well to prevent scratching. I thought that was a nice touch. The material is definitely faux leather...but I think it looks fine. The assembly isn't hard once you figure out the pictorial instructions --it's a bit of a challenge but fine. Once together, the chair is comfy and it pops out to a bed easy. I'll probably buy a memory foam topper for it for guests. If you need a guest bed for a living room or office, this is a good pick. ... show more

    • instructions were terrible. key peices drawn backwards.
figured it out after a minute or 20... then it became a chair. pretty good chair. i guess the value is based on if you think you'll figure out the instructions. but again, pretty good chair. i'll update if it gets wobbly or the cushions die.

We got black chair and we love the look and function of this in son’s room. Black color looks great with his tv and music instruments. Really small size for small room. Very happy with it. Quality is super, better then on pictures. Instructions is a little bit tricky but look carefully on pictures from instruction. Pillow is inside of the one part of cushion!!!! ... show more
