The fact that can be returned is a 5 stars, however, as far as durability it’s not recommended. Had it on one short flight, and next day didn’t fly, it was backing up instead of moving forward. Not sure if it was a remote setup, but I did resets and played with the remote as per manual and never changed from moving backwards on a slow speed. The material also look very fragile and not durable for crashes. Props are not fixed sturdy and could move from the base as the glue on foam does not look promising, that will cause lifting issues. Overall all If you are very careful in using it, and find the price on deal as it could worth half of what its priced now, then you might give it a chance with a good luck. Very Fun to Fly , Pretty Durable , Most parts can be repaired with super glue. Wish the wheels, and nosecone were more durable/sturdier . Had a good weeks worth of fun , it was my first RC plane.

Bought my 11 year old 6 different RC toys for Xmas. A couple of them were too difficult to operate so returning them. This plane however was the top gift! so easy to use, super durable (crashed multiple times), and so much fun. Both my husband and my son loved flying it. Must buy!

I purchased this for my son for Christmas & it’s now July & he’s just taken it out for its 1st spin. Couple of things to note: 1) the batteries need time to charge (overnight), but do last a while. 2) make sure to go to a big open space (we used a baseball field) as it takes off fast & goes far. Had we tried this in our yard it would have been on a roof or in a tree. 3) check the plain after each landing/crash. The propellers will fall off when crashing and can be lost easily. 4) bring extra propellers with!! It’s a fun toy (even though the box says ‘not a toy’)! ... show more

Beautiful plane, well put together and plenty of flight time for the battery size. The multiple 6 axis gyro settings are amazing and I like to fly in intermediate mode unless doing acro. Definitely not a first time fliers’ plane, I would suggest starting with a 2 axis Cessna before going to this model, the P-51 is very fast and easy to lose visual of, but flies excellently. I actually modified my own to carry a 5ghz POV cam in the canopy area and flying POV makes me feel like I am flying my real plane. I would suggest picking up a spare set of propellers and hubs from EX-hobbies website (the actual manufacturer, as I had a grass landing that popped the propellor and hub off. I would also recommend buying extra battery packs, the one cell’s the plane comes with are fine but 6-8 minutes is about the best I’ve been able to get for flight time, and charge time is 4 hours. All in all it’s an amazing deal and if you have the space to fly without restriction you will love this plane. I have flown mine to about 1,000ft of altitude and in 10mph winds and although difficult it was not impossible. One touch aerobatic key makes loops and rolls simple but if you want full deflection controls for hammerheads or spins, expert mode gyro is the only way. I would recommend removing the landing gear and practicing landings in the grass first, the gear wheels are foam and tend to squish before they roll so it takes practice to get a good landing on pavement without flipping over. After flying the 51 I would like to see a larger version with a 24 inch wingspan and more battery options, this company did a great job for a mini RC and it has been money well spent. ... show more

I’m rating three stars cause maybe it was just me… but could not get it to fly. Not having the elevators I think makes all the difference. Tried taping Pennies to the elevators to weigh it down and still no good. Honestly I think it’s better to just buy one with at least 3 channels. The 2 channel versions just don’t work. Besides that the radio was fine for the price, fit and finish were fine, battery fine… overall you get what you pay for. You just didn’t pay for something that works in the air! ... show more
