Works with my Vizio tv, but fails to update. A few times a day my tv tells me there is a software update fo the remote, but it won’t update. Now the voice feature is no longer working. A waste.

I don’t know where to start. There’s not much positive about this remote. It is easy to pair with the tv. The instructions say that there can only be one remote paired with the tv. I assume they mean one voice remote because my old Vizio remotes still work. We have several seating arrangements in front of the tv so multiple remotes are necessary. I bought the remote for the voice feature. Since there are no volume controls on the remote I tried saying, “volume up”. It didn’t recognize what I wanted. The same result for “volume 8” or “adjust volume”. I tried commands for Amazon Prime, Cardinal baseball etc. about one in ten commands worked but took me to the wrong place. Thinking maybe the remote needed time to learn my voice, I tried again the next day. If anything it was worse. Don’t waste your money.

Not worth the money, it works exactly like every other cheap remote. It looks like an XRT270, but only uses IR, so only line-of-sight. And a real one from Vizio is only a couple bucks more. This one is going into the trash.

This is the worst remote I’ve ever owned. It slips out of your hand all the time. But, the biggest thing for me is the buttons make a loud clicking noise EVERY time you use it! It’s also to thin, makes it hard to hold on too. There’s no weight to it either. Very slippery. Hated it by the time I gave up and purchased the longer and more weighted one. (See my other reviews).

I’ve tried several and none seem to work for very long. I’ve tried like seven and all work great at first and within two to three months they just stop working. Have tried replacing batteries. Nothing compares to the original remote. If you find one that actually works please post.
