  • Extremely Reliable and Perfect for an Indoor Setup
Style Name: SC4 Pro (+ 3D Driving Range Simulator)
I have spent hundreds of hours using the Voice Caddie SC4 PRO in my basement and I am really impressed with how reliable it is. The data is consistent every time I use it. It works just as well indoors as it does outside on the range which makes it a great all around launch monitor. I paired it with a projector and an impact screen and ended up with a really solid simulator setup without spending a fortune. It gives all the numbers I need for practice. Ball speed, carry, spin, club data, and everything else that actually matters for improving my game. The E6 app membership that comes with it is also a huge bonus. It is free, easy to use, and the five included courses are more than enough when combined with the multiple driving range setups and the closest to the pin game. For anyone who wants a dependable launch monitor that gives accurate numbers and works well in a home simulator, this is a great choice. Unless you are playing professionally and need tour-level gear, the SC4 PRO does everything you need and does it well. I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Great Buy
Style Name: SC4 Pro (+ 3D Driving Range Simulator)
Works great. Used it indoors and outdoors. Zero issues and the app works perfectly on my android. For the price, it's a great tool to know your numbers.

  • Great product - with obvious design limitations
I was able to get this item at a flash sale price (surprisingly NOT on Prime Day?) and it's a significant upgrade over the SC300i, but because it's not a $6k Foresight GC3, there are limitations worth mentioning - which I detail below. (Warning - maybe just shy of TLDR) Overall I paid $385+tax brand new on amazon sale and for the price, even with the limitations, it's still an excellent value and training tool to get your yardages for each club with a simulator built-in (with use of laptop or ipad) Pros: 1) The dark LCD screen is much easier to read than the older SC300i orange screen. 2) It's reasonably accurate as long as you hit good shots with the correct ball flight. I compared my SC4 to the range I went to that had upgraded Foresight systems and I was pleasantly surprised in the similarities with ball speed, carry and roll distances. There will be times when the variances may be up to 5-7 yards off. 3) The remote makes it easy to switch clubs to track data. 4) The E6 Connect feature is nice but I imagine it can get pricey. With your purchase it comes with E6 practice mode and one course where you can work on your tee shots and fairway/approach shots against the E6 simulator. I don't find myself buying more updates for this but it works well for me on my iPad Pro at the range as opposed to just hitting balls with no practice goal in mind. Limitations: 1) At this pricepoint it does not register side spin, so you will not see ball flight tracking for draw/hook/fade/cut 2) The flight shape is registered on the SwingCaddy app as perfect inverted parabolic curves, which we know the ball rises higher over longer distance then has a steep drop-off to the ground. 3) The SC4 only works with real golf balls - so it will not register with those yellow foam balls. That said, at the driving range with low grade flight-limited balls, you will get the swing speed, smash factor and ball speed, but the distances will be ~10% shorter because of low quality balls. 4) I was able to update the firmware so it adds swing speed mode (SWG) but this nowhere accurate. My swing speeds using SWG mode register significantly slower speeds compared when swinging with balls in normal "Practice" mode. 5) The instructions say the SC4 must be level with the playing surface and 5 ft (60" behind the ball), so at the range on a mat, I always put it on a book roughly the same height as the mat. You just have to be cognizant that you are not too close where you can knock over or damage the SC4 on your backswing. Cons/Gripes: 1. It's prone to misreads esp on duck hooks or really low shots that skip on the ground. It will register it as a normal shot with a normal apex height. 2. As expensive as this unit is, I feel it should come already with the case, that is already a $50 accessory. 3. When logging club/swing data on the app, sometimes it populates data automatically, but most times I find myself having to disconnect from Bluetooth and restart bluetooth to get data. ... show more

  • Best launch monitor at this price point, by far.
Style Name: SC4 Pro (+ 3D Driving Range Simulator)
Excellent launch monitor in this price range. Probably can't beat it. Connects great to my tablet, not so much with my Android phone though. Their software registration process could be better. The Windows software for managing updates and stuff sucks, is easier to just manage through tablet. Otherwise, I can't imagine a better launch monitor for the price. Pretty dead on accurate through my testing. Absolutely happy that I finally broke down and bought it. Cannot wait to spend much time with this. Their virtual driving range is fantastic. Would love to try this with e6 courses. ... show more

  • Wanted to love it but just didn't function properly
Style Name: SC4 Pro (+ 3D Driving Range Simulator)
Following instructions to a tee (no pun intended), unable to get SWG mode (Swing Speed) to trigger on my irons indoors. Worked slightly better outdoors, for unknown reason as this is a laser product with no sensitivity to visible light (per Customer Care). Customer Care was responsive via email and offered the already-tried solutions (align the device, at the correct height and distance, etc.). Customer Care also suggested moving the hitting point to 4 feet instead of 5 feet. I never tried this as the unit was already packaged for return by the time I received this info. It's worth noting that nowhere in the documentation, nor in videos online or fb groups is a 4 foot distance ever mentioned. If you're having the same trouble I did, you might give this a try. A second issue I had was minimum swing speed, which I found to be about 40 MPH. I discovered this while doing some chipping practice using the SWG mode. Basically, short chip swings are simply not detected at all, which is a huge bummer. Third, there are two operational modes - standalone, and bluetooth-into-phone/tablet/PC. In standalone operation, the TGT mode (Target mode) does not remember target distances for each club. You can set the target distance for any club very easily, but as soon as you switch to another club the setting you entered for the previous club is lost. This was super annoying. Ironically, when using Bluetooth these settings can be saved, along with other settings like club angles/etc. Lastly, when signing up for E6 using the supplied coupon, it only offers DEMO mode. I was under the impression there was permanent access to 5 courses. Wasn't my experience. Anyway for me, the product was simply far too finicky and unpolished for the price. ... show more
