    • Fantastic Replacement For Unused Ceiling Fans

Bought the 2-pack for a den and spare bedroom, both with ceiling fans that were never used. Super-easy install (loved the handy temp hanger that supports the light while wiring). First overall improvement was how the rooms immediately looked larger with the fans removed and this super-slim fixture hugging the ceiling. Almost looks like a skylight when it's off. The color LED ring is very cool, although we'll probably just keep it on a single color unless showing it off. Moreover, the white color options for the large light are VERY handy. The warms are warm, the whites are very stark white, and the dimmer will get the light you want. Also, two things worth making a little more prominent: First, YES, this works with a wall switch so you're not a slave to the remote or the app. Once you leave your preferred light setting on for 5 minutes, it is memorized and will be the default when using a wall switch. Second, you do not need the app to use this light. In fact, we probably won't ever download or use it. For our application (replacing ceiling fans), both rooms have double-wall plates (one switch for fan, one for fan light). These new lights were wired into the fan's rocker on/off switch. I removed the light dimmer, bought replacement double switch covers that have only a single cutout for the rocker switch, and used velcro to fasten the LED light remote to the "blank" side of the cover (if that all makes sense). So when you walk into the room, you can hit the wall switch to turn the light on, and if you want to change the light settings, the remote is right there next to the switch (no looking around the room for a remote). I bought two and they synched great so I can use one remote for both. I like the brightness settings so I can see when I need to and dim when watching movies. The kids love the "party lights" and there are many colors to choose from. The only downside that I didn't think of beforehand is that there is no bulb to change so hopefully they last a long time. Also, a nice touch when installing is they have a hanger that attaches to the light (similar to the way fans do) so you don't have to hold onto it while doing the wiring ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Let me be clear, on its own, this is an amazing product. The light is very bright, and thankfully can be adjusted down to a reasonable brightness. It looks great and very modern. It was fairly easy to install, and only took a few minutes. The color LEDs around the top, are very bright and vibrant. They have a lot of built-in patterns and designs that my kids love. The remote is okay but it leaves a lot to be desired. It is better than the other versions of these lights I've seen, but it's still not the best. I would give this five stars, if the app to control the light was available in the Amazon app store. It really upsets me when I see that a product is Alexa compatible, but the company doesn't even support the actual app on Amazon's platform. My household is built around the Amazon and Google Smart ecosystem. All of my kids have Amazon Fire Kids tablets. If I wasn't comfortable with putting my kids tablets in developer mode and using a computer program to side load a 3-year-old version of this app, into their tablets, they wouldn't be able to use this light to its full potential. Even so the only compatible version of this app is 3 years old, so they don't have the latest security updates (which I'm not too worried about since the kids tablets are so lockdown), but they also lose the functionality and improvements that have been made since then. Just add your app to the Amazon app store. Your competitors are starting to do so which is very welcoming. If that ever happens I will come back and give this five stars. If you have a cell phone or tablet that can download the latest app from Google or Apple, then I can tell you it is actually pretty cool. You can change the color of each individual LED on the top of the light, set up your own custom patterns and animations. Again this product is my absolute favorite ceiling light product that I've dealt with so far. Everything is actually really well thought out except for the app availability, and the remote could be a little better. P.s. Sorry about the video quality, I somehow lost the original and was left with this low quality version. The clicking you can hear in the video is how loud the remote is when you press a button. ... show more

Stupid product.. remote doesn't work with the light.. i had to waste 2 hours of time installing the light on high ceiling and the remote never worked … had to go through uninstall process

Far exceeded my expectations after reading some of the reviews. Remote works perfectly, most importantly it connected to my Alexa, and the Tuya app worked perfect as well. The app has some cool settings including one for a night light, part setting, and one that’s syncs to the music. I like that it can be used everyday with warm or cool white light, then it doubles as a party light. ... show more

First light I received had a down light that went out within 2 days. It happens, replacement came within the same week and has been perfect. Down Light is bright and the color light has lots of cool presets. Easy to control with app and remote. Hard to beat at the price.
