This camera is just what I was hoping for. I have purchased similar electronic devices in the past that, for me, were very difficult to even figure out the basics just to get started. This was so so easy for us to get started right away with creating some project videos to upload to you tube. The camera's autofocus operates swiftly and precisely, even in environments with insufficient lighting. Additionally, the 4K video output displays a clear and vivid image, and the flip-up touchscreen simplifies vlogging by allowing you to frame yourself easily. When we remove the camera from its stand and use it freely, the video quality remains exceptionally clear, which I believe is attributed to the anti-shake feature mentioned on the product page. With two batteries included and a convenient pause function, there's no need to worry about running out of power during a project. The battery life has also been outstanding. This camera has significantly simplified our video projects and allowed us to keep our cell phones available for other purposes while filming. Additionally, transferring photos is effortless with the included USB cord. As a result, we've had to do minimal editing, which has made our lives much easier.We are happy with this, no need to upgrade or try something else. Definitely worth it! ... show more

I required a compact camera for my backpacking trips, and DSLRs were not a feasible option due to their weight, bulkiness, and high cost, which could potentially be compromised while trekking through rugged terrains, crossing streams, or in unexpected rain showers. Although the iPhone can take decent pictures within the range of 5 to 20 feet, it lacks the zoom feature required for capturing distant shots, which are often essential while backpacking. This camera in contrast to options like a DLSR or iPhone..... 1.) Is very small and comfortable to carry in a cargo pocket. 2.) Is very light which is a huge consideration when backpacking. 3.) Is very quick to deploy because it's handy in a pocket rather than in my backpack. You don't miss shots. 4.) Speed is very good. It boots up fast. And the zoom is responsive. 5.) Focusing is good. 6.) The optical image stabilization is very effective for both still and video photography. Important with a camera this small. All in all, I'm very happy with this Canon product. It is very well designed for what it is and I'll probably carry this on vacations even when backpacking is not involved. ... show more

I purchased this camera primarily for its telephoto lens, which has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance. What's even more surprising is that the camera also excels in macro photography. As someone who is still learning how to optimize picture quality and image stabilization, I find the camera's "point and shoot" features, such as exposure time, light sensitivity, focus, metering frames, picture resolution, and programmable modes, to be satisfactory for taking demanding shots. The camera's compact size is also a plus, making it effortless to carry during hikes without the need for a backpack. Additionally, I appreciate that it is versatile in low-light settings, as flash is not always practical in shaded wooded areas where I often take pictures. I have even managed to capture macros of plants in the woods that were previously challenging to capture with other cameras. Finally, the camera's built-in wireless capability and USB cable allow for swift and convenient image downloading to a computer, albeit at a slightly slower pace. I did a lot of homework before deciding on this camera. Finally, I purchased this compact camera to replace my smartphone camera, and I'm thrilled with the upgrade. Here are some of the reasons why: While the picture quality is good in daylight, it's outstanding in low-light situations, surpassing any phone camera I've seen. The optical zoom is decent, but not extensive. The camera has a nice build quality and can easily fit into a back pocket without the worry of damage. It starts up quickly and is ready to use in just one second from the power button. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the camera does have manual focus, which is surprisingly good, and the super-macro setting is impressive.
