I was leaving a review, and about to give it a three star because of how thin they were, until I saw another review mentioning to put them in the dryer. What a difference! Definitely size up. The pillowcases in this photo are 18 x 18 and I purchased the 20 x 20 inserts. I put two in the dryer at a time on the lowest heat for 10 minutes and they came out way fluffier! I just received these. I put them in a cool dryer for 7 minutes to fluff the pillow as instructed (I tweaked the time.) The pillows seem well made, and are firm, which is what I wanted. I'm ordering two more to replace my "Foamily" poor quality pillow mistake I made. Let's see how durable they are, that's the question. (I expect a pillow to last three years on a medium-to-low use basis, these were purchased for actual use, not just "decoration", but real support and comfort. ... show more

I initially bought the 26x26 as a decorative throw pillow but it’s sooooo comfortable that I’m going to buy it in the standard pillow size to sleep on. I love these pillows. When I received them they were in a vacuumed sealed flat packaging so at first I was worried that they wouldn’t fluff up enough, but I did exactly what the instructions said to do and in a matter of minutes they fluffed right up. After reading the reviews for this pillow insert I went ahead and bought it. It is an okay pillow, but if you want a fuller one I’d order a size up to fill your cover. I have a 18x18 pillow cover and it fits ok, but leaves the sides a little empty. A 20x20 insert would have filled it better. Overall it is ok and did fluff up some, but not as full as I’d like. These pillows were well-sewn, with straight stitching and no loose threads. However, the pictures shown make them look solidly stuffed and they are not. They do puff up with some effort from their vacuum-packed shipping — I did appreciate that there was a good bit of extra bag to cut without worrying about hitting the sealed pillow — but it feels like someone is skimping to cut costs: it’s loosely filled at best and squishes easily to the touch even with repeated fluffing per the directions. It’s not the plump, solid pillows shown. I agree with other posters: buy a bit larger, or double them up for pillows that will be actively used or if you want them to appear plump and full. These will be rarely used decorative guest pillows so it’s acceptable, but if this were heavier use I would have been disappointed. ... show more

These pillow inserts were as described. i used them for pink pom pom pillow covers and they were perfect . i followed the instructions allowing them to sit for 24 hours, then i put them in dryer for 10 mins on fluff. They are soft and comfortable, but no support
