This thing is beyond bright. Does produce a good amount of heat but it’s a commercial light with a lot of power and lumens. Quality was good and setup easy. Seems durable. I spilled a little water on it before it was hung trying to fill vivosun humidifier a few diodes flickered but they are not doing it anymore and it works fine. I wouldn’t listen to reviews bashing vivosun. I read them as well, took a gamble and purchased several products from them. They all work well and they don’t have the issues of negative reviews leading me to believe those individuals either got a bad one that made it through or it was a competitor bashing them because vivosun has lower prices and it’s hard to beat that.

This is an excellent light, especially for the winter as it runs a bit hotter than others. I will say that I could not get this light to go full power with an AC Infinity controller. Not sure if I have the wrong RJ adapter or what the deal was with that? Works excellent with the Vivosun controller. I am achieving 1100 PPFD at about 12 inches in a 4 x 4 if this helps. The light controller extension cord to remote mount is very short and makes it difficult to mount it outside of a tent, but it can be done if you hang the light controller (ballast) from above outside the tent. This light is not compatible with the sunset sunrise option. I do recommend this light highly especially if you can pick it up closer to the $300 mark on sale as I did.

I have used the 450 w vivo Sun LED light now for two grows as long as you follow the included directions it works great. I was using t5 500 w grow lights and these are tripled my yields just have to watch the light distance so you don't get light burn Great light otherwise. I will be looking to buy another one shortly to add to my setup.

I have had nothing but fine performance from an assortment of Vivosun lights from 100w to 450w and all work fine. I have this 450w in 1/2 half my 4x8. I find that heat has not been a problem with any of the afore mentioned lights. The VSFL6450 a pretty good light so far as this is the first grow for this light, which hangs in 1/2 of a 4x8 tent. I some times run 3 tents so I need 8 lights total and 6 are Vivosun. The VSFL6450 creates more heat than is desirable and I don't find any benefit from the detachable heat sink without an extension cable that I can't find.

Great light for a 4x4 Tent. Plants are loving it. If you’re doing research like myself before buying a grow light you’ve found the right review. Save yourself some money and grab this light. I was able to get it for 360$ original price of this bad boy is 800 smack a Roos. It’s on par with the top of the line grow lights that are used in commercial grows. This is the best budget light you can get hands down. I was looking at vipar Ks5000 originally but those are no longer manufactured. That left spider farmer, ac-infinity & medicgrow. All well respected companies & great products. I decided for the price point it was a no brainer to grab a vivosun. it’s bit of a ugly looking light but the specs are on point!
