VIVOSUN has changed the game by putting it all in one box, but after putting this 4x4 GIY Complete System through its paces, I have some professional insights you need to read before you click "Buy Now." The "Full House" Breakdown 1. The Tent (48"x48"x80"): This is the heart of the kit. The 80-inch height is a massive plus. If you are growing tall sativas or using the 5-gallon bags I recently reviewed, that extra vertical space is the difference between a successful harvest and light-bleached buds. The 600D canvas is durable, though as a pro, I always check the seams. 2. The Ventilation (6-inch 440 CFM Fan & Carbon Filter): This is where VIVOSUN actually over-delivered. Most 4x4 kits ship with a 4-inch fan that struggles to pull heat. This 6-inch combo moves 440 CFM, which is more than enough to "scrub" the air in a 4x4 every minute. I purchased this for growing marijuana. It absolutely does a fantastic job! The air filtration system can get a bit annoying if you're in the room with it for sustained periods, and it can get loud if you don't keep the screen/mesh clean (works too hard to pull through it). I find that 3 oscillating fans work quite well inside, and there is plenty of room for ground level equipment (humidifiers, heaters, etc). When I do it right, I can grow 4 plants without issues. As for everything else, it's amazing. I grow my seeds (starters) for my vegetables and flowers in here and they thrive when coupled with a Vivosun VS1000 light system (or two) and a couple of the vivosun fans. It's sturdy enough for me to hang multiple lights and equipment from the "rafters" and I installed 2 sets of bars for added sturdiness for when I use a double trellis net technique. The entire system is light enough to be carried by an average adult, and moves easily if empty (no filtration system inside). The filtration system is a bit odd to install, as it basically just gets strapped in place with two synthetic nylon belts. Umm, ok. It doesn't make you feel safe, although there is another option to install it on the outside (nuts/bolts to a stable platform), but that was not happening. The zipper system will leave you in tears at times, as it is very very easy to zip the light-blocking zipper flap into the zipper itself. This has to be manually ripped free (and it's not gentle). The viewing window is neat, if that's your thing, and it can be rolled upward and velcro'd in-place (pre-existing velcro). There are plenty of double adjustable vent openings for cables and ductwork. I was disappointed that I recently dropped my pruning scissors and they (of course) landed point down and instantly poked a single hole in both the drip mat and the outer wall. Ugghhh! Not Vivosun's fault, though, so no deductions for my complacency. I would recommend this to everyone.

This kit helped me get started with indoor growing, and the only good thing is the quality of the tent and the included accessories. It's fairly easy to put together, quicker with 2 people just because its awkward handling then tent before its around the frame. However, the included grow light is a major concern. According to VIVOSUN’s own website, this light is designed for a 2x2 grow space — yet it’s bundled in a 4x4 kit. I contacted their support and their response was that its a budget friendly option - yet no where does it specify that the light is only suitable for a 2x2 space. That’s a significant mismatch and can lead to poor light coverage and underwhelming results. I only discovered this when I began upgrading my setup and realized the specs didn’t add up. Additionally, the fan included in the kit isn’t compatible with VIVOSUN’s GrowHub controller (sold separately), which limits automation options. It’s also louder than newer models, so I ended up replacing it with a quieter, compatible version. Overall, this kit is fine for getting started, but buyers should be aware that some components may need upgrading sooner than expected — especially the light. After contacting the support and my only solution was being told to buy another light, they didn't even admit to how this was very misleading and on their part, it has made me lose all trust in this brand i will no longer be using vivosun products in my garden.

I took a long time to hit the 'Buy Now' button on this. I was really worried that I'd get cheap, junky, thin plastic. This exceeded my expectations. I am very happy that I finally purchased it, and I'd recommend it to anyone. It takes more than an hour to set up. It also smells like cancer if someone could mail it to you in a box. I aired it outside overnight because I thought smelling it would cause my imminent demise; then there was no more smell. I've loved it ever since! I used youtube videos to help me set it up. It's worth the setup hassle, once the finished project is built. I also am very glad that I chose the bigger option. I don't think the 2 foot version would've held my 3 plants. The 4 foot is perfect, and surprisingly much taller than I expected. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Everything works great other than the probe, it just quit working. Vivosun customer service took care of me, new probe is working exactly as it should. For the money, I don’t think you can beat it.
