Perfect ! Just what I needed for my 4x2x5 grown tent , I was using circulating fans and it was becoming a headache with temps and humidity. This solved all the problems and if you don’t want the smell of what’s in your garden then you the carbon micro filter and it pretty much eliminated all of that. Me I personally like the smell ! The fan has no speed control, and is entirely overpowered. You can't attach a duct to both sides, only the blowing side, which is useless if you want to hang your filter inside of your tent. Because you can't put a filter on the inlet, I foresee debris and material clogging this up eventually. The ducting HARDLY fits over the filter and fan. I didn't think ducting would be the hardest part of my tent setup but with this kit, that's guaranteed. Did I mention that because there's no speed control, it's overpowered? Oh yeah, I did. When you put this inside of your tent (I have a 4 x 8) it will suck the walls in. I had to run 3 seperate ducts into the tent to relieve this negative pressure. My tent looks like an octopus with ducts going everywhere. ... show more

We bought this, with the impression it would filter smell and suit our grow tent needs. Boy were we wrong! We have had to supplement the filter with an ionizer and odor eaters and to top the cake, the longer we've had the unit, the louder the fan has gotten. We can now hear the super loud (housed in the basement) fan all the way upstairs. Reached out to vivosun to have the problem fixed (at least a replacement fan), they asked for a video and then...nothing! Not even acknowledgment of the issue. Super disappointed. If you will use this indoors and will share the space with the unit, don't waste your money. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Incognito this isn't it!!! I would not recommend this fan. It seemed pretty good at first 5 days later it has gotten extremely loud...if it gets any louder I will try another brand. My husband said it sounds like the barrons are bad... if I have guest over I will have to turn the fan off. Noise level is too high ... show more

Do not buy this piece of junk. It was good until the 30th day of use and then the bearings started rattling and pinging noticably. Its day 56 and its so loud i can hear it out in my damn driveway. I'll deal with it for the next 2 weeks or so but i cant wait to office space destroy this pos come harvest. Looking forward to smashing it with a hammer is the only positive quality this fan has. Cant complain about the carbon filter though. Amazon should ban the sale of vivosun fans until they figure this manufacturing flaw out. ... show more

It works but it doesn't work very well. If it moves 203 CFM I'd be shocked. I have an $8 desk fan that moves as much air. Doesn't do much filtration either. The real waste of money is that it won't last 3 months before the bearings start to go and you wonder when the thing will come apart. VIVOSUN should be a synonym for cheap junk...Not a good buy and I won't buy again ... show more

The items were packed safe each thing in its own box it came with 2 clamps and the ducting is strong good material the fan is a bit louder than my previous fan but it’s manageable nothing super loud it doesn’t have a fan control it’s one setting suction is good my keeps my 4x8x7 tent nice and fresh in hot California weather would totally recommend ... show more

    • I got a bad and unbalanced fan... and vivosun hasn't responded to my support requests

I've purchased multiple fans from vivosun. The 4" fan that came with this one is louder than the other 4" fan and the 6" fan. This fan is so loud and unbalanced that it shakes my entire house. You can hear the noise of the fan a hundred feet away, through walls and closed doors. This is not a good feature when you're trying to avoid everyone in the vicinity knowing that you're running a 4" fan 24/7 for ventilation... I contacted Vivosun's customer support about this and have received no response whatsoever to my requests. All I want is a fan that's as quiet as the other fan vivosun sold me. ... show more
