Pros: Overall build quality was very satisfying. Fan housing is steel and is fairly heavy for it's size. Included duct was of good quality (expected less honestly - pleasantly disappointed😁👍) The filter is huge. I didn't expect that. In all fairness, I just knew to buy the 6", I never looked at the measurements. I smell nothing outside the tent and I use fish emulsion (this $#!t sinks). It also has a potentiometer for speed adjustment. Cons: I had to cut a piece of wood to bolt the fan to because, while it does come with a bracket and nuts and bolts, it doesn't come with a way to hang it inside the tent. Also, the filter is bulky and a little heavy to hold overhead and hang by yourself. YOU'RE GOING TO WANT A SECOND SET OF HANDS (Yeah, you can hang it yourself, but if you have an anxiety disorder as well, just save yourself the frustration😤🤬👍) Only other con is the noise level. If the door isn't shut to that room, the fan can be heard downstairs and around the corner. Other than that, 10 out of 10 for performance. Would buy again if I needed another.

This Inline Fan was Super Easy to Install. It included Straps for the Carbon Filter and A Nice New Pre-Filter that fit it !!! The Inline fan does make noise but but not a lot. Vivosun also makes a Noise Reducer You can add to Your Setup as well. Then It would be Even Less Noise. But as is, it's quite manageable !!! Great for Beginners and Anyone Growing. Vivosun has GREAT Customer Service & Warranty department. I have this Setup to exhaust my Vivosun 2.5' × 2.5' Grow Tent and a Vivosun 4" inline for intake of Fresh Air w/Carbon filter to filter outside Air Coming into my Garden. I have the Included Carbon Filter as well on the exhaust. As well as another one @ the end where I vent outside... Can't Smell a thing.. I added a C02 bag & Vivosun Fabric Pots Now My Garden is Thriving !!! Also Not a smell one coming from my Tent except in the room holding the tent when I open/close the main doors. Other than that No One CAN tell !!! Just my experience though but it All Works Great Together !!! 5 STARS ALL DAY LONG CAN'T BEAT THE VALUE FOR THIS PRICE A BARGIN @ THIS $$$

Worked great a while and came home one afternoon and heard a loud rattling coming from the blower itself thought maybe something got sucked into the blower, nope it’s actually the blower wheel and bearings it spins on. Very disappointed, I figured it would have lasted a few grows. Nope couldn’t get through the first.

I have the vivosun 4” kit as well as the ipower 4” kit , to start the vivosun fan is 10x better, much quieter and better quality metal frame, comes with a dust jacket, and it’s adjustable, the ipower is this cheap plastic fan that’s not adjustable and it’s kinda loud, I think the plastic housing produces harmonics that causes that! So anyway it’s a great setup for the price, not sure of the filters yet but both have decent reviews as far as removing odors

I got the 6 inch and Ive done maybe 5 grows to where the fan runs 24/7 for months at a time. The filter last about 2-3 runs. Using it in a 48x48x80 on the lowest setting and that’s enough to sink in the walls. It’s not the most quiet on the market but it’s not loud either. On full blast it gets a little loud. I would recommend the product because I’ve had it for a while and it works. 1 con though, the lip that connects the filter to the fan and the fan to the ductwork is sub-par.

Edit: I left the review below, but soon after I contacted Vivosun. They responded very promptly and are refunding it. The faulty one actually did last for the warranty period, failed one day after. The company does a great job responding to issues and trying to make things right. I will continue to buy their products. I bought this exactly a year and a day ago. I've used it off and on, but more in the last couple of months, running on the lowest setting. It has worked fine as far as moving air. It's fairly loud when operating normally. But, today it started making a really loud sound like a bearing had gone out or something. I could hear it from the basement to the upstairs. I wrote this same review on the individual fan item sold on Amazon, but posting it here, as this kit is what I actually ordered.

So after a year and a half, I reloaded my carbon filter, because it was well past time, right? The leftover used carbon, I figured I would burn it to dispose of it... After cooking burgers on the grill, I put a couple scoops of used carbon on the fire... When I put a little on a hot coal, it would burn like coal, but it smelled funny, and when I put more on, it would smolder and put the fire out. I built a larger file, and it put that out, after a strong small of plastic/formaldehyde. There is no visible plastic, but clearly it has been treated with a fire retardant... sounds ok, but that will reduce how effective the activated carbon is, if not clog it entirely. I have mixed feelings, I need to know more about this... what is in it and why 0
