PROS: There's quite a bit to like about this setup. Overall it works. I am setting this up in a 60x32x80 sized Vivosun grow tent, and once the fan and filters are in place, it immediately cleared up any residue odors that were left in my basement even when placed on the lowest setting. The noise is also pretty low, all the way up til you get towards med-high..... although even then it's not too bad (Maybe I'm biased though given it's in a basement lol). Assembly although manageable given the right tools for the job, can be a bit tricky if doing it by yourself - which then leads me to some of my cons with this product CONS: The two rust-free stainless steel clamps are great, but if you are working in a bigger sized tent than the one I outlined in my review, this may be a problem especially if you are looking to place this item somewhere on the inside. Although they are snug together...... a separate pair of smaller duct wrap and a secondary set of clamps would be ideal here to secure these two items in place. I don't expect mine to hold up and will be getting these items separately to complete my setup The hangers for the fan seem pretty cheap and easily will detach and slide off if you are not careful with how you wrap it up against a support beam using their flimsy rubber clips. Vivosun should invest in getting some metal clip hangers like used on a Mars Hydro grow light to support something of this weight. It would put a lot of ease into people's minds when going to set this up. Also the fact that they only provide hanging straps for just one component, and not for both the fans and carbon filter baffles me quite a bit here I'm only knocking off one star as these come off as minor inconveniences since I had some alternative tools for getting the job done. But from a product standpoint...... they should have extra equipment provided like I mentioned above to really help convenience their consumer base ... show more

I got the 6 inch and Ive done maybe 5 grows to where the fan runs 24/7 for months at a time. The filter last about 2-3 runs. Using it in a 48x48x80 on the lowest setting and that’s enough to sink in the walls. It’s not the most quiet on the market but it’s not loud either. On full blast it gets a little loud. I would recommend the product because I’ve had it for a while and it works. 1 con though, the lip that connects the filter to the fan and the fan to the ductwork is sub-par. ... show more

As the headline says, the hose and the fan housing are the same diameter, so attaching the one to the other is problematic. My kit also did not have the support cords, and there appears to be no way to contact Vivosun about this. Clicking on the links in Amazon just runs me in circles.

I have the vivosun 4” kit as well as the ipower 4” kit , to start the vivosun fan is 10x better, much quieter and better quality metal frame, comes with a dust jacket, and it’s adjustable, the ipower is this cheap plastic fan that’s not adjustable and it’s kinda loud, I think the plastic housing produces harmonics that causes that! So anyway it’s a great setup for the price, not sure of the filters yet but both have decent reviews as far as removing odors ... show more
