    • Nice piece of incomplete furniture
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. Very nice dovetailed corners and fairly straightforward assembly. The hive lacks everything you need to be set to go. It’s missing frames for the bees to make a proper home in.

We purchased two of these 5 layer hives. No frames or foundation as described so that has to be purchased separately. They were very tight dove tail joints and the small side has to be tapped into the large sides gently but was near square when joined together. A few joints milled on knots and you have to be careful with those. We predrilled counter sinking holes and screwed them together rechecking squareness with each side. Mostly tight knots and good cedar boards. We are happy with them. Hopefully the bees like it to. ... show more

Incomplete order. Missing part of it. Was supposed to be five layers. 3 supers, 2 brood, boxes. I received 4 boxes. Missing one brood box.

    • Light weight and not good dovetails
One 12 inch side was split and had to be glued . Joints were two tight and had to be driven in to joints breaking wood in several places.
