I had to use it a couple of times to get it right but once I did I was amazed at how well it worked. I am using it for essential oils and it really works good. It’s a little big, but other that I love it.

    • A hopefully comprehensive review
I normally post pictures or videos but stills are not legal to operate everywhere :). So first but of advice, check your local laws. Second bit of advice, get a good book and watch some videos. It’s best to get information form multiple sources to see multiple methods and also to see the various safety protocols. Any still, will produce methanol first. It’s poisonous. Learn how much to throw out and also learn how to test what you’re keeping. The still works as intended. One issue I ran into, is that most recipes for spirits assume a five gallon still or larger, since this one is three you have to tinker with the recipes some. This is a stainless steal still you should always only use stainless or copper. You can use it to produce alcohols for use in vinegars or drinking alcohol or probably other uses I haven’t found yet. Also remember you need a fermentation bucket and yeast to use with the still. ... show more

Thumper not large enough. Attaching lines seals fall out or don’t seal without teflon tape. Directions very vague!

Finally used it and its garbage. Every joint leaks no matter how much you tighten it. The copper coil is way to small for the size of the pot so it hardly works. The pump included is great, it's meant for something twice the size as it blows the lines off everytime and makes everything leak so you can't even use it. (Lowest setting, still pops lines). So overall crap. $120 for a cheap 8gal pot everything is "included" is worthless ... show more

I have enjoyed using this. It has everything I needed, quality built Stainless. I didn't have instructions to assemble or for use. It's not complicated to figure out. I had two minor issues. 1. Thermometer rusts. 2. Tubing on pumpline was not snug and leaked. Fixed by adding hose clamp.
