I had a hard time deciding how big a 15.8 gallon metal can was going to be, lol! I imagined it would be the same size as a traditional milk can. I think this is bigger by at least an inch or two in diameter, probably the same height. So just know that this thing is BIG. We ordered this for food storage to keep the mice out of our wheat berries, beans, rice, etc. It is working like a charm so far. I know mice can eat thru metal, but we have some mice hunters in the house, so I think this will stop them for lack of time to chew thru before the hunters can get to them. A 25lb bag only fills this can about a fourth of the way up. We will have to order one at a time due to price, but I think it is a good price for what you get. Seems like good quality and it is definitely beautiful! I’d much rather have this sitting in my house than plastic 5 gallon buckets. Good purchase, and I’m about to go order another one now. Very nice welds.polished smooth inside and out. It is very easy to clean, with no little crannies or crevices to hamper sanitizing. The silicone gasket is easily removable for cleaning. I couldn't be happier. I will buy more of these.
