The media could not be loaded. When I got it it came with everything it said it was supposed to have and it came with a copper pipe to make the slobber pot into a thumper I just had to bend in the copper pipe a bit to get it to fit and then hammered it in and it has worked great for me so far. I haven’t had any problems with the seals I have done about 10-15 long runs and haven’t had any issues with them I had heard of people having issues with them but I haven’t yet. I did upgrade the condenser coil to a bigger one I just got some refrigerant line and took the hardware off of the condenser coil that it came with and put it onto a Home Depot bucket which was not hard to do at all I just need a pipe cutter and pipe flare device and then I was able to put it together. I made a bigger condenser coil cause I was having issues with the one it came with heating up the water to quickly but building a bigger one solved that issue. The water pump it came with works great. The setup was super easy and straight forward as long as you have some know how. I have heard of peoples thermometer on the pot steaming up and breaking I haven’t had any issues with mine it has worked great and has read the correct temps. Overall great product especially for the price hands down would recommend especially for beginners it also comes with a booklet with mash recipes which is cool tho I lost it so I can tell you if they are good or what not but everything has been working great and I have been having a blast with it.

We have Purchased this product for Water distillation and purification purposes only. We have in the past tried out some of the countertop products very costly hard to clean and didn't last very long. We use distilled water like it's going out of style. We use distilled water for our coffee makers, humidifiers, cooking and so much more. We live in an area where the city tap water is loaded with contaminants like fluoride, chlorine and so many more unwanted things let alone the taste. Keep in mind these kits do come in several sizes we had chosen the larger size to basically suit our needs. 13.5 Gallon size. I estimate I can probably do 6 gallons give or take at a time. With such large capacity we fortunately have a rather large shop with adequate ventilation, and I use a large propane operated open three burner top camp chef stove. These kits do come in several sizes. I only make mention because a person will definitely need to consider how much space they will need. We are extremely happy with the quality of this product. All the parts and accessories are spot on. Very well packaged. This product is well worth the bang for the buck. I was a bit apprehensive about the purchase at first...I won't lie it took me a couple of months to finally go for it however I am super happy I did. A person could not just go out and by each component of this kit new separately for the total cost of this full kit. When a person is spending roughly $15 a week for bottled distilled water this adds up fast. Even paying for the propane I'm saving money and I have good purified distilled water on hand. It's a win. As for the brewing enthusiast I am not familiar with the entire process however I can say the quality of this product is up to par for distilling water. So, I can't really give a rating for that. Everything was packed well. I actually thought it was the wrong size because the box was smaller than I expected. It also arrived 3 days early! When I unpacked it, I was happy to see how all the parts nested inside the biggest pot which will be great for storage. I did a dry fit of 2 separate configurations to make sure I had all the parts and check the fit. It went together with minimal effort which is nice. I will run the vinegar/water run soon and then I can check for leaks. I purchased it during Prime Days for a great price and from what I see so far it is well worth the money. Concerns: The reasons I gave it 4 stars The assembly instructions are somewhat lacking, and the 2 flexible lines have me concerned about cleaning and longevity. The inside wall is not smooth and they are thin. We bought ours to make oils. What we don’t want to happen is that over time residue builds up in the tiny crevices of these flexible lines. We may change these lines to copper or stainless steel tubing to eliminate even that possibility. They are also thin which does help with flexibility. However, changing the shape of them several times for a different configuration or storage could cause them to crack or break prematurely. If they can be left in the shape you need then this may not be a problem. As with the cleaning concerns, changing these to copper or stainless steel tubing is an option. It is important to note that any of these changes could effect the fit of the gaskets so they may need changed as well. The instructions do contain a good bit of information but there are some issues. The pictures are dull and really hard to see any details. The parts are not labeled in a way that says something like connect part A to part B so seeing the details of the picture is important for at least initial assembly. The written instructions are very simple and if someone is attempting assembly that relies heavily on following instructions, I fear that they could become quite frustrated. One thing I did was to look at the pictures on the listing for mine as they are pretty detailed and good quality. It also appears that the instructions were written by someone whose first language is not English. While this has no effect on the product, or makes whoever authored the instructions any less valuable, it is sometimes easier to know what to expect if you purchase this product in any size. Even programs that translate from one language to another as you type can cause these same issues with the translation.
