Okay, this is a very well built and well thought out product. If you are like me, you may have watched some YouTube videos and decided that buying a pump and gauge set is the right move. It is the right move for sure. However, there are a few differences with this package compared to the equipment that most folks use on those videos. The gauges are the same but the controls are set up differently. Most gauge sets have a red hose, a blue hose, and a yellow hose. Also they only have two valves. A blue valve for the low side and a red valve for the high side. This package set comes with a black hose that connects to the vacuum pump and the yellow hose that connects to your refrigerant can. This is really nice because you do not have to disconnect the yellow hose from the pump and then connect it to the refrigerant can while you are in the middle of the process. Also, the gauge set has two additional valves. One that opens or closes the yellow hose isolating it alone and a black valve that opens or closes the vacuum pump isolating it. So on the gauge head you have a blue, red, black, and yellow valves and corresponding hoses. On top of all these valves making sure that you are not going to get any air into the lines and other possible mistakes you also can open/close the valves at the connectors while opening all the other valves except the yellow. This allows you to make sure that you do not have any leaks in the hoses or gauges prior to doing the leak test on your AC System. All in all I am super glad that I bought this brand and I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone. Now get out there and get that cold air blowing!!

Overall a good pump and gauge system to vacuum out a mini split system that is budget friendly. I pressure tested to 300 psi and triple purged with nitrogen using this pump and pulled and held negative pressure then released refrigerant and it worked perfectly. When the hvac shop tells me they want 6k for an install of a 1200.00 mini split i buy this kit snd spend 4 hours installing it myself. Do some research online its easy to do and dont be discouraged. Use some nylog and snug the fittings down

I’ve tried other kits and this one was a lot better! It has a purge valve for the refrigerant so you can easily purge the air instead of having to twist off the entire hose. The gauge also seems high quality. This kit also comes with vacuum pump oil which I appreciate because a different brand did not have that included. Overall i would buy this brand again and recommend it. It comes with everything you need to do your a/c.

I bought this vacuum pump to evacuate a ductless mini-split air conditioner that I installed myself. I am not a professional HVAC technician. The unit arrived in great shape. The instructions were clear. The manifold gauge set contained all the adapters that I needed to connect to the mini-split that I purchased. I have used it only once but it worked great for my application.

Have used on both automotive and minisplit installations. Works extremely well. Be sure to keep plenty of compressor oil in the unit and to change it every few uses and it will definately hold up.

I tried to use the vacuum pump from a local auto parts store that loans it out for free first. Turns out the blue hose on that system is unique to the automotive set up and cannot be adapted to the home A/C system. So I bought this kit and it worked like a charm. Hooked right up with the adapter I had bought separately and I had the mini split online and working in no time just like the videos showed. I can't offer an opinion on the freon (halogen) leak detector, it never activated so I don't know for sure if there were no leaks, or it wasn't working correctly. Prior to charging the lines they held isolated vacuum for over an hour.
