  • Easy to mount, works great
Follow the instructions and it’ll be a piece of cake, but mounting is definitely a two-person job since it’s a little heavy. Takes about 30-secs to go all the way up/down, but like others have said, I’d rather wait than worrying about the TV flying off. You can see the bottom of the mount if it’s mounted high, but you can easily paint the plastic cover the same color as the wall and it would blend right in. Lastly, another review mentioned it doesn’t swivel that far left/right, which may be an issue if you have two couches, but for a single couch or sectional, it should be just fine! We’ve been able to swivel it perfectly every time! It does come about 20” total off the wall when it’s fully extended, so if you have a narrow room, I’d recommend a slightly smaller TV (we bought ours after the mount and if it were any bigger, it would just be too close since our room is laid out awkwardly). Our couch is about 5.5-6 feet from the TV when it’s extended all the way down and we have a 65” TV. Any bigger would be way too close, so keep that in mind. Otherwise, love this! I personally have 0 complaints. SO happy with this purchase!!! One last thing, the mount came with every bolt size EXCEPT the one we needed (they were either the right thickness, but too short, or the right length, but too skinny/thick), so you may need to run to the hardware store. We have a Sony. ... show more

  • Great product!
Color: White
This mount has gotten so many great reactions from my guests! The motor moves a little bit slower than I would like but the tv is huge and I realize there are trade offs. Still a great product I would buy again.

  • Beefy product with silent/strong motor, with some design constraints.
Color: White
Overall a solid product with decent range of motion and nice wall covers. The ownership experience however was blemished by the fact that seller shipped me a returned product with the included wall template already marked in pencil by the previous buyer. Seller re-taped the package ok so it's not immediately apparent that this is a returned product. Fortunately, no parts were missing and the product worked well after install. I took one additional star off because this is a returned product, not new. OVERALL DESIGN: good industrial design with nice plastic covers for the wall mount to cover the unsightly frame, espeically when the mount is in fully extended position (down), such that the wall mount/frame in the back will become visible and unsightly. The product also provides some nice groves for runnig cables under the plastic cover, which is nice for cable management. The included metal frames are beefy, heavy, and, from the look of it, will last a long time. One design flaw that kind of stands out for me is the fact that, when the mount is in fully retracted position, there is only about 19.5" from the bottom of the 3 bolts on the TV plate to the bottom of the wall mount. For my 65" TV, there is exactly only 20" from the bottom of that bolt to the bottom edge of the TV. So if you mount this on top of a mantal like I did, you will see the bottom of the plate mounted against the wall when the mount is fully retracted (see the included photo). One way the manufacturer can address the issue is to include extension brackets so the TV can be mounted lower, or simply include longer VESA brackets. INSTRUCTION MANUAL: Two small manuals come with the package--one for the remote programming and the other for the install. Installation instruction is there but like most other manufacturrers, does not provide practical instructions to help caculate what the lowest position or top edge of the TV will be after being mounted. It takes a bit of enginuity and math to figure out how low the TV will extend below mantal. This means installation would be difficult without the help of a second person. Also, the manuals have miniscule fonts that make reading extremely difficult. Fortunately, the installation manual (but not remote manual) is available online but that's not much help unless you have a computer or laptop nearby. MOTOR: Quite but a little slow. Takes about half a minute to go from the the fully retracked position (up) to fully extended position (down). It's positioned in-between beams with the cables and somewhat protected by the metal arm, but is otherwise exposed. USE: Fully retracted, the screen is 8" from the wall. Fully extended in down position, the screen is at least 20" from the wall (not counting thickness of your TV). While this does lower the screen substantially, it unfortunately pertrudes too far from the wall. If manufacturer allows the motor to extend further down, the screen should in theory return closer to the wall (like when the mount is in fully retracted position) rather than sticking out so much. Anyone installing this should take into account how far this sticks out. It makes watching TV from the side in smaller or confined rooms difficult. The ability to lower the TV only benefits viewers directly in front of the TV. The mount also allows some swivel sideways (25 degrees accordingly to manual) and rotation (3 degrees), which is versatile on paper. However, in practice, in fully retracted position, you can't swivel as much for some reason. The swivel angle increases as the mount is extended. CONCLUSION: It's a well-built, motorized mount for someone looking to lower the screen, in a large room, and watching TV mostly directly in front of the TV. Beyond that, the limits on how much you can swivel and how far the mount extends away from the wall makes this mount less than ideal in smaller rooms/confined spaces. Ordinarily, I would give 4 stars because of these constraints, but took one additional star off because the product shipped was a returned product. ... show more

  • Very Good Mount - Careful with cable placement
This a good mount. I did not mount it above a fireplace, I wanted to be able to have my TV high when watching movies but lower it to eye level when playing video games. This does that perfectly. I use it to lower the tv about 2 1/2 feet and it would go lower than that if needed. When fully raised the mount is about 6-7 inches off the wall. When lowered it comes out about 18 inches depending on how low you go. There is a tilt feature but only when lowered. When fully raised it will not tilt. The TV is also angled down a few degrees. This does not change when lowered. When fully raised this is fine but It would be nice to have an option to have the TV perfectly vertical when lowered. The motor is a bit slow but that is ok since you're moving an expensive TV. Setting the memory positions makes it easy to have the same placement every time. One issue I ran into was I could not get the TV to raise back up after lowering it the first time. It worked fine without the TV on when testing but when I put the TV on it would not raise, only lower. It took me a while to figure out that the issue was. I tried all the trouble shooting from the manual, unplugging, holding the OK button, checking no obstructions, using the reset button, repairing the remote. Nothing worked. What happened was that because of the placement of the ports on the TV I ran the cables over the top of the mount instead of below and velcroed the cables to the upper arm so they would slip down and obstruct of the motor. On the upper arm is a kill switch. It's small and one of the cables was touching it just enough to engage it preventing it from raising. Repositioning the cable and making sure the switch wasn't pressed solved this issue. It would have saved me a lot of time and headache if this was mentioned in the manual. Overall the mount serves my needs. Being able to make the TV vertical and to allow it to tilt when raised would make it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Improves TV viewing quality
After seeing this at a relative’s home we had to have it. It lowers the TV about 2 feet which makes watching it much more comfortable while sitting in our living room. Installation would have been very simple except I had to relocate power, ethernet and coaxial outlets. If you do not need to move any utilities it would take less than an hour to bolt to the wall. I was able to install the mount by myself but needed assistance to attach a 75” TV once the mount was installed. ... show more
