Had high hopes for this product as I needed a replacement for my current arm. However, the product came missing an essential piece for installation, the plastic piece that helps the pieces to each arm mount to each other. Without it this whole product is worthless. Horribly disappointed.

All in all, I wasn't too disappointed in this microphone arm. It just didn't work for me in the long run. The microphone arm is a very sturdy build, as I have come to expect from VIVO products. Assembly was super easy as well. My main complaint, and why I didn't continue using it was it just fell short on the degree of rotation on all directions. Was looking to replace my old psa1, was glad to be able to try out this product. It was easy to assemble, it is mostly made of metal, aside from a few connecting joints, I cannot speak to the longevity of those plastic pieces, but based on my experience with vivo monitor mounts, I will have no issues with them. You can tighten the connecting joints to hold its position easier with the provided tools. It has a wide range of motions and positions you can fit it to, paired with my ethos, its easy to keep it out of my line of sight while in use and still sound good. It had no issues holding the several microphones i've tested with it. The only issue i've had with this arm is the pieces that hide the XLR cable, they slot into place (they also attach to the xlr cable), but if you have no slack on the cable they will fall when repositioning the microphone arm and you have to place them back in position. I would have liked to see strong magnets hold them in place instead of the slotting mechanism. I've only had this issue with the bottom one nearest the desk, the one closest to the microphone hasn't had this happen yet. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star product, price, form, assembly, etc. were all to my liking and exactly what I was looking for in a microphone arm. ... show more

So first of all this microphone boom arm is very easy to put together and install, however it's quality was below our expectation. I've happy owner of several VIVO products and they prove its sturdiness, stability, and longevity. This microphone arm continues that tradition. Pros: - It's exceptionally well-made. - The sturdiness is really good; it stays in the desired position while offering a good range of motion. - Installation was straightforward, and I appreciate the various installation options, including the gentle on-table mount, which I've personally utilized. This microphone arm perfectly fulfills my needs. It sits near the far side of my table (even below it), and when I need it, I can effortlessly move it into the working position. (see photos 1-2) Cons: - The only aspect that doesn't feel quite professional and can be a drawback is the cable management tray. Even with a relatively small cable like the one I use for my USB microphone, I found that the bottom tray can easily detach during movement, and it doesn't sit securely in place. I can't imagine how it would handle a thicker "big-microphone" cable (photo #3). I'm planning to use some black tape to ensure that the cable management tray doesn't fall off again. This area could definitely use improvement in future versions. Overall, this is a nearly perfect and robust microphone arm that gives me confidence it will serve me well for a long time. ... show more
