  • Sturdy adjustable sit-stand desk, BUT
Color: Black Frame
be aware of the reset function if the desk isn't lowering to the proper height. This is the best adjustable desk stand! I bought this in 2018 and it is still working. Though, I got off to a rocky start. There was a bit of an obvious problem. This set up was not fitting for me. For years I have been suffering from all sorts of body aches and pains that I attribute to not having an ergonomic work set up. Recently, I have developed radial tunnel syndrome from doing intensive work using my mouse. I could not get the desk to the lowest setting which I did not realized could be lowered further so I had been using this desk stand at the incorrect height which was much too high. In order to make this work, I had to raise my chair height by piling on pillows and an extra high foot rest-very uncomfortable and unstable. My makeshift set up never seemed to feel right and has resulted in countless shoulder, neck and arm problems for many years—until today. I came back to this site and found out that my desk can in fact lowered. According to customer comments, I had to reset the desk and I did exactly what was said and after unplugging for 1 minute, re-plugging and holding the down arrow for 15 seconds, the desk was able to lower all the way to the bottom, which is exactly the perfect height for me. My shoulders, arms and posture finally feels right. What a relief. I can feel the difference instantly! The desk does have a problem with creep and the lowest setting gets higher over time and doesn't lower to the lowest setting after a while. I am so glad I got this worked out with the help of other customers who commented on this website. Aside from the glitch, it has held up so far for 4 years and seems sturdy. Now that the height thing has been worked out, I love this this adjustable desk stand!!! I am giving this 3 stars because the glitch should not have happened and should be fixed by the company and I am pretty sore from the results. ... show more

  • Well built!
Color: Black Frame
I was surprised with how good the quality was. It's very heavy duty and well constructed.

  • good desk, but scary to put together and base height is high.
Color: White Frame
+Quality +Not too Loud +Color/Design -Sitting height too high -Build Difficulty -Instructions -Parts not labeled on the actual piece Sitting height is too high. Normal desks are probably about 3-4 inches shorter than this one. If you're a short person or someone who doesn't have a chair that can go pretty high up this would be a definite no go. I'm going to get another chaire in the future that hopefully is higher so that my arms can rest on the arm rests and the table simultaneously. Whobble isn't bad at all. Even at max height my table doesn't move much at all and if you're looking to play games with it higher up and standing you won't have too many distractions with whobble. So it took me about a little over an hour to build just because of some difficulty. Overall build quality is pretty good especially for the price, but I wish the instruction were a bit better. Parts to the desk did not have labels on them despite the instructions calling them by their respective part letters. Be careful with the crossbar! Don't pull the crossbar out too far and then try to screw it in. I stupidly lost one of the allen screws inside the crossbar because I'd pulled it too far and it fell in. I got it out by pulling one of the black caps off the end. Also another reason not to pull it too far is because the rod that rotates to pull the desk up and down is only so long. The longest I could get the frames actual length from the INSIDE leg to INSIDE leg is 55 1/2 inches and it's advertised at 61 from the outside of the legs. Screwing the crossbar into the legs was the worst part. It took a lot of force of me pushing it in for it to actually come together and make sure there is no gap between the leg and the bar! You need half way screw in on each side, and you'll 100% need another person holding the other side having them hold the frame and legs together tight. It's literally impossible to do this alone and get the legs and frame flush together. As for the rod going into each leg I honestly had no idea how tight to make the fit as the instructions dont tell you, and I was scared I was going to break it. I pushed it in as far as I could as it did give way. Just make sure to have the rod fit in the right way so It'll actually go in. I then pushed it in further. Again I didn't know how tight to make it but I made my pretty much as tight as possible and the mechanism seems to be working well with minimal noise. Overall a pretty good desk. Just needs better instructions and it honestly needs to be able to go 3-4 inches lower. ... show more

  • This was good, while it lasted.
Color: Black Frame
This desk was an affordable option when I bought it in June 2020. I used it for about a year without issue. After a year... it started doing this weird thing where it would start going up to a preset position and then - STOP - like had slammed into an invisible wall. Then it would reverse a few notches and stop. This went on for about 6 months, getting progressively worse over time. After 18 months, it had gotten so bad, that I took apart my motor. The attached pictures are what I found. A plastic gear that had been chewed up badly by a metal pinion. Ouch. At this point, I'm assuming that the desk is shot, after less than 2 years. I started researching new standing desk options. BUT WAIT. THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE! I contacted Vivo support at vivo-us.com. I chatted with a representative on 5:30 PM on a Friday evening. I sent him the pictures above. I sent him my SKU. I sent him my order number. Keep in mind, this was an AMAZON order, not a direct order from Vivo. Within 15 minutes, I was informed that a new motor would be sent to my home, and would ship out on Monday. So... is my mind blown by the product? Not really. It's okay for the price, but obviously there is a design flaw in that motor. I think they may have updated it in new versions, based on my conversation with the Vivo rep. Is my mind blow by their customer service? Yep. Absolutely. Vivo has a 3 year warranty on all their products, whether purchased directly or through Amazon. And they honor it. Quickly. I have purchased many vivo products, and I will continue to buy from them going forward. ... show more
