  • Better than I thought it would be
Color: Black Frame + Black Top Size: 55x28
This was a huge upgrade from my more expensive, smaller, and less sturdy 'gaming desk'. I needed a bit more room to set up my work laptop and its travel screen. The 55 x 28 is perfect for that. The packages arrived seperately, well packed and in good condition. Assembly was easy; however, there are some things you need to know as the instructions leave a couple steps unmentioned. First, you can assemble the entire base and then you need to flip the base around 180 degrees on the desk if you want the controller to be on the right-hand side. The instructions only show assembly for mounting left-side, although the same screw patterns are mirrored. Second, whichever side you choose to mount the controller, you will have to drill two pilot holes in order to secure the controller. If you didn't drill the holes for the desk I received, it would be secured by only one screw. Third, there are two additional areas to drill pilot holes for the horizontal support bar. I didn't notice them until assembling the wife's desk. you can raise up the desk to full height and remove the shields to access the area and it makes the desk sturdier once you get those screws in. Once everything was done I plugged it in and it worked like a dream. The sitting height is good and the upper max height is too high for me (I'm just under 6 feet). The desk is sturdy at all height settings, and my monitors barely shake when the cats jump down from the shelf above. The memory settings are just 'push-and-hold' to set your custom heights, and there are four of those. I've only set the first two, and it's awesome to hit the stand or sit settings, walk away and come back to the desk where I wanted it. My wife was out of town when I assembled it, she got home, watched the desk in action and had me order another one for her that night. As soon as I hit submit on this review, I'll be assembling hers and I'll update if there are any issues with her assembly, or future issues for both desks. ... show more

  • It is fine overall
Color: Gray Frame + Mahogany Top Size: 55x28
Desk had a few scratches on it when it arrived, not from shipping either because of where they were located. Desk wobbles but a lot of sit stand desks do, I have just used some hat don't wobble. Probably wouldn't buy again but if you need a reasonably priced sit stand desk then this is a good choice. ... show more

  • well made, relatively easy to assemble, great customer service
Color: Black Frame + Maple Top Size: 48x30
only 2 minor reasons i I gave 4 stars instead of 5; first was the screws that connect table top to frame don't seem like they would tolerate a lot of stress. I was very careful turning upright after assembly. Both table top and frame are very solid, therefore hefty, the screws are more to keep top from shifting than to secure. I did reach out to customer support as there was no tracking info for the table top, just the frame as these come separately, and in my case, 3 days apart. I got reply with tracking info in less than an hour after I submitted query and that was 8a on Sunday morning :) ... show more

  • Great Desk for Work
Color: Black Frame + Maple Top Size: 60x24
I have been using this desk for a while and its has been great. I have two monitors and a laptop that takes up just about the whole space on the desk. The only complaint I have is that the desk doesn't quite lower down enough for my height. I solved the problem by buying an attachable keyboard tray which put my keyboard down at a lower level for me to work comfortably. It's not super loud when lowering and raising the desk. I did notice that since day one though, that it does make a noise and shakes a little when it gets to certain height when lowering. All and all it has been a great sturdy desk. ... show more

  • Flexispot EN1: Great standing desk from a company with poor quality control
Color: Black Frame + Black Top Size: 55x28
The media could not be loaded. I'll get straight to the point. My strongest recommendation is this: Do NOT take everything out of the box and start right off with the "read the directions as you go" approach. Take the time to read through the manual forwards and backwards, read the (good and bad) reviews on here to get tips, and watch some YouTube videos for a visual on how it's done. Take notes on everything you learn. Doing all that in advance made a big difference for me when it came to assembling it. I have to call out a serious failure on Flexispot's part with the desk I received. I noticed that one of the two bolt holes that attaches the leg to the counter top was barely punched and wasn't tapped (see pic). What? It was as if someone spent less than a second with that step and decided to move on to something else. Wow. I've seen some minor workmanship flaws with other furniture I've assembled, but this one was the most outrageous by far. I have nothing more to say about this other than: - An incomplete hole on a furniture company's product is an unacceptable oversight. - An incomplete hole on a furniture company's product is an unacceptable oversight. - One more time: An incomplete hole on a furniture company's product is an unacceptable oversight. I called customer service and told them exactly what I stated above. I asked them how can an assembler, quality control person, and whomever else is responsible for the final product overlook a hole that was just barely pumched. I didn't get a straight answer, other than a nice person who apologized profusely and overnighted me another leg assembly. Needless to say, it was clear that a couple of folks on their production line were in need of more training. I went through some of the same frustrations as other reviewers, but managed to work my way through them based on what I learned ahead of time. I attached a triple monitor arm mount and did a lot of cable management underneath the counter top. All of that was easier than putting the desk together. It's quite sturdy and doesn't look like it's going to buckle from the weight of the monitor assembly. No problems with raising and lowering it, smooth with a bit of noise, but not a dealbreaker for me. Overall, I'm very pleased with the finished product. For a desk that's 55" wide, it's the best choice at its price point. Just be prepared, do the research, work through any frustrations, find a patient friend/relative to help, and chances are good you'll like the end result. UPDATE: Even though the desk is sturdy, my mounted monitors have been a bit wobbly. So for some extra stabilization, I bought a VIVO Universal Steel Clamp-on Desk Stabilizer Bar here on Amazon. Definitely helps if you want a noticeable difference in stability. ... show more

  • Love it!
Color: Black Frame + Maple Top Size: 55x28
I've been using my desk for a few weeks now and I'm very happy with it. It was pretty easy to assemble and took less than an hour. It functions well and the motor moves the desk up and down smoothly. It's also very solid although when standing up, I don't feel comfortable putting too much weight on it. Overall, an excellent adjustable desk for the cost. My wife is considering buying one now as well. ... show more
