Be careful where you point when opening this umbrella. It explodes open very quickly. Otherwise, the umbrella appears to be sturdy. Once it opens you will not be able to fit it back into the sleeve it comes with, unless you are really clever and can fold it up like when you first get it.

When I ordered I didn't realize this was a standard-sized umbrella. I was replacing a compact one. But, this is great. I forgot how much extra protection you get with the standard size. The burgundy color is beautiful. The opening and closing mechanism is fast and smooth. Note: The fabric sleeve that slides over the umbrella is a tight fit. It isn't easy to put back on. However, I don't use the sleeves [prevents drying of the umbrella when wet], and are just a nuisance when you want to open it quickly
