I have owned hammocks my entire life, there is nothing that compares to laying in a hammock, and I can't imagine not owning one. I paid $60 USD. Boxed nicely. Frame has a very solid powder coat finish. Stand has been in the weather for 3 weeks, including multiple heavy rains and 100 degree sun, with no rust and no problems. Sturdy and easy to assemble. Easy enough to take apart and put back together that portability is a very practical option (Our 2 stands made a trip to the lake and have come inside for relaxing in front of the TV). As one would expect, the carry bag is not very heavy duty and probably will not last as long as the stand or the hammock, but come on...at this price point, the stand and hammock far exceed the expected quality, which is what matters. We already owned good quality hammocks, so the included hammock was just a bonus, but if you don't own a hammock, the included hammock is an excellent choice. The fabric is a heavy cotton canvas but it feels soft, not scratchy or stiff. Beautiful, bright colors and nice cordage finishing the ends. Package came with extra caps for the ends of the stand which could come off and get lost. I intend to add a little glue to mine. ... show more

Received this hammock in good time and intact. All parts were in the box. It was easy to assemble. The hammock was mostly as expected. Everything fit together hammock was put on the stand and I tried it out. Very comfortable. I used the holes second from the top for the hooks. The hammock looked a little tight, but everything stretched a little and now that setting is perfect for me. When I was looking at the seller's description of the hammock and stand I noted that the size information for the hammock was inconsistent, so I measured the hammock I received, right out of the box. The hammock size I noted was slightly smaller in all dimensions by several inches. I have not measured it since it has stretched under my weight. I subsequently measured the hammock stand and discovered it is smaller by a few inches that the dimensions stated in the seller's description. I prefer that information given by a seller to be absolutely accurate, but I do not feel cheated or anything. I would buy from it again. ... show more

This is my second Vivre hammock. I also bought two seemingly identical hammock/stand combos from a lesser manufacturer by mistake. The Vivere brand hammock stand is much stronger and much more durable over a long period of use. The cheaper stands look the same in the ad, but are made of thinner tube. The center tube between the two ends on the cheaper stands will bend over time, causing the hammock to lose tension. The screws will rust into the holes if you leave it on grass. Not with this stand! We have been very pleased with the original we bought 3+ years ago and now added a second. The metal tubes appear to be galvanized inside, so the screws will not rust fast. ... show more

Everything was packaged nicely on arrival, though it arrived as a storm was starting. I put all the pieces into the provided bag, and it proved it holds up in rain really well. Later, my partner and I assembled it. Not all of the pieces fit together easily, however, due to the paint. Thankfully, my partner weighs about 230lb and is strong, so he was able to force it together. If not for that, though, I might have needed to return it. Since then, however, it has proven to be of good quality. It holds both of us easily (a total of 360 or so pounds together), and we can lay next to one another easily. It's made of comfortable but durable fabric, and the rope portion seems similarly sturdy. I will say, when repacked in the bag, it can be quite heavy. I'm definitely not as strong as I used to be, and yet I could lift it but with some difficulties. For someone with less strength, assistance will be needed to move it once it's in a bag. However it's easy to drag from one place in the yard to another without damaging it. ... show more

I love that it comes with its own stand and was delighted to find this one isn’t permanently attached together. They is also a very nice quality tote bag included, so it is possible to take it with you while camping. The hammock feels like it will hold up for many years to come. I'm often a little suspicious of the quality of lesser expensive imported products, this item was a pleasant surprise. Arrived promptly, packaged very securely to prevent damage. All parts accounted for, in fact they provide a few extra plastic "feet" which help secure the stand to the floor, while also protecting the floor from getting scratched up. Simple assembly in 15 minutes. Stand seems sturdy, fabric seems strong, very colorful, very comfortable. Fully adjustable for height and weight. I've already spent many hours reading and napping.
