Much better than a cheap canvas hammock. Also quite large and long enough for someone that as well over 6 feet tall. I paired this with some Sunbrella seat cushions that match.

Bought this to replace a cheaper fabric hammock that had mildewed after a year of use. At that time I also bought one of these with a stand. As it turns out I would have been better off buying two of these then, but I wasn't sure the price premium was worth it. Now I know better. These handle hot Texas sun as well as wild Texas rain, and look almost as good a couple years later as when they are new (comparing this to the original one). My only complaint is that there isn't a spreader bar option, so this will tend to cocoon you if you lay in it. Particularly if there are two people as the "double" size suggests. Still, you will be hard pressed to find anything better for less than twice the cost. ... show more

Hoping this will prove to be a lot more durable that the cotton ones, which I replace yearly. Although it says it's a double I think two people would be a tight fit, better used as a nice coccoony single. Does not have the stretch of cotton so a different feeling but still comfortable. Does bead water. One star off for putting cotton ropes on a weatherproof hammock; those will probably fail first. ... show more

light weight but sturdy. Easy to fold up when not in use. Very comfortable as it wraps around the body, nice on cold evenings when I use it.

We have had several hammocks over the years but this is our first Sunbrella Hammock. The quality and design is very nice. My only negative comment is that is it not as wide as a "typical" double hammock so if you are planning to snuggle up with your child or partner, this one might not be for you.
