First off you need to decide what you need one for. Picking up trash, limbs and debris outside? Then don’t buy this get a heavy duty one that costs $40 to $50. I am old and have a bad back so I use mine to pick up clothes, dog toys and dog food, and especially the left over pieces of sharp milk bones that hurt like hell to step on in the house. I also pick up threads and stuff I don’t want to get into the vacuum cleaner. This $14 one is not made for heavy lifting, or for putting glassware or heavy plates in the cabinet. You will need to spend at least $30 or more for one for that. This one is for light objects, no more than a pound and if you don’t try and lift heavy stuff it works great and lasts forever. I have been through a dozen of these over the years. I prefer the suction cups to the rubber coated finger kind. Pick stuff up much better. But for certain thing might be better, like getting a glass from an overhead cabinet. I have a heavy duty one from Lowes for picking up stuff outside, trash that anuses like to throw from their cars into my yard, and the cigarette butts my mail lady thtows by my mailbox EVERY day and pi cones and sticks ect. I bought this lightweight one 8 months ago for use in the house. The only issue I have had so far is one of the nuts that holds the suction cups came off and got lost. I emailed the company and they were ready and willing to send me a replacement one if I wanted. But I told them all I needed was a new suction cup nut so they sent me a new pair of suction cups and nuts so now I have extra if another falls off. These are good grabbers. If you are like me and read the negative feedbacks first to hear the truth, not all the fake five star ones at the top, then pay no attention to all the people griping and crying because they didn’t know the differences between them and just bought the cheapest, or bought one for light use when the needed a heavy duty one. Not the grabbers fault you cheaped out and didn’t buy what you needed. For picking up shoes, socks, underwear, light clothing, dog toys, spilled dog food and partially eaten treats, and small trash you don’t want to go up the vacuum then this is the one you need. Lastly, never buy the folding ones. It’s just another place to be a weak spot and to break too soon. Need one for a specific task, ask me in the comments to my review and I will be glad to share my experience with you. Look at the "suction cup look" of this pincher. Not a sectioning grabber just a great griping grabber. Picks up a dime so easy. Even a Bobby pit! As well as heavy water bottel , etc. The only thing to keep an eye on is the screw that hold on the grabber cups. I had mine for 2 years and the screw fell off. But with a drop of super glue we're back in business. I use mine daily. Great price hor all thd help she gives me. Yes, she. Her name is Penny my picker.

It’s a bargain price for two. A good tool for general light duty. I wouldn’t use it to pull down something heavy from the top shelf, as no matter how tight I squeezed the tool, the metal parts to the clasp part collapses due to thin metal.

I have difficulty bending and picking up items from the floor. I have used the normal grabbers that are hard plastic and they work pretty well for most things but are useless for picking up coins, knives or my phone. These grabbers will easily pick up small change, screws and other small items. I can also pick up my phone when I drop it without worrying about scratching the screen. They have been able to pick up pretty much everything I’ve tried. I’m really glad I bought them.

My husband uses grabbers all the time and has gone through several different brands.He really puts them through the wringer; using them for everything from picking up little bits of paper to moving rocks around outside. This one is perfect for him. It's slightly longer than his old one and the mechanism works smoothly. When I first saw it I had a few doubts since the suction cups didn't seem to line up perfectly but I tried picking up a tiny piece of gravel and it scooped it right up with no trouble. I like the fact that this one does not fold in the middle of the shaft like some other brands since that seems to weaken them. This one by VIVE seems pretty sturdy so hopefully it will last a good long time. Nice product, well made and comfortable to use. Update: This grabber went through a lot of abuse and use and held up remarkably well. My husband used it outside to move things around like hoses and rocks and to pick up twigs, branches and anything else that needed removing to keep our yardscape looking nice. Last week the inner mechanism finally broke. My husband liked this grabber so much he asked me to order another one right away even though he had a second spare grabber made by a different company that he used for indoors. So I ordered another one of these and it arrived quickly and in perfect condition. My husband is thrilled and hopes this one will last just as long as the first one did.

Nice looking grabber one really works well, the other will not pick up small items as the suction cups do not align. One leg of the cup is longer than the other and there is approximately 1/8th of a gap between the tips of the cup. I should be able to pick up a dime or small object, (which I can with the good one) but can't with the defective one. Looks: great Delivery: great quality: mediocre If both worked as well as the good one I would have given it 5 stars
