I just had back surgery and broke the most useful and durable grabber I had, so I ordered a pair of these foldable grabbers. The were received within five hours of ordering and for that I am grateful. I thought the folding feature would be good for carrying around the house while I used a walker. Unfortunately, one of the grabbers broke just below the folding joint as I attempted to pull up a sock I had just put on with my sock assist tool. The barrel of the sock rolled up after the sock was in place and I attempted to unroll the top of the barrel with the grabber. When I did so, SNAP! I'm now down to one grabber and will have to carry it up and down the stairs with me.

I’m using these while I recovery from surgery and am not supposed to bend over to pick things up off the floor. I have young children so there are always things on the floor. This has been a super helpful way to keep things at least a bit tidy. It’s lightweight and very good at grasping things. Seems sturdy, like they’ll last a long time.
