It was amazing to watch it unroll itself after I got it out of the box. It does require a bit of caution when you walk on it to go to bed. I did fall out of bed one time and land on it, it made for a much softer landing compared to carpet/pad and concrete.

The mat came tightly rolled. Quite difficult to get flat on the floor. It seems well made and looks nice. Beveled edges all around. Feels comfortable and is nice and thick. We have a table on casters and that doesn’t work well on the mat. The mat should be wider. I might have to return the mat. That is if I can get it back in the package! ... show more

My 92 year old dad is in a facility where “restraints” like bed rails, are discouraged. When he goes to bed, his caregiver just pulls it out from under the bed and places it where it will help absorb his fall. It is quite large and makes me feel safe for him.

The product has two sides, a glossy gray top side and a matte, grippy black underside. The black underside grips the floor well and prevents the mat from shifting on hardwood. However, the gray top side feels unsettlingly slippery, especially when wearing socks. In addition, the amount of impact absorption was below expectations.
