We are not elderly, but my husband has night terrors and jumps all around in his sleep. He has landed on the floor several times, hard. I figured I better protect his knees in case he falls the wrong way. This pad was perfect! It's thick and cushiony. It's beveled on the ends so you don't trip over it, but it's off to the other side of the bed and is not in a traffic area, so i couldn't speak to the issue of elders possibly tripping over it. He has fallen many times since, and he loved the soft landings. LOL. No problems with it curling on the edges or anything else negative.

The matt is an absolutely beautiful matt. Very well designed, non-slip, sturdy and does not lift when you walk or stand on it. I like the matt so much I wish there was a wider one, I would order another one. An excellent security matt to have in case of an elderly parent falling in or out of bed. I would recommend working with this seller and buying this matt. It's a must have for any home, especially for the elderly.

It was amazing to watch it unroll itself after I got it out of the box. It does require a bit of caution when you walk on it to go to bed. I did fall out of bed one time and land on it, it made for a much softer landing compared to carpet/pad and concrete.

The mat came tightly rolled. Quite difficult to get flat on the floor. It seems well made and looks nice. Beveled edges all around. Feels comfortable and is nice and thick. We have a table on casters and that doesn’t work well on the mat. The mat should be wider. I might have to return the mat. That is if I can get it back in the package!

My 92 year old dad is in a facility where “restraints” like bed rails, are discouraged. When he goes to bed, his caregiver just pulls it out from under the bed and places it where it will help absorb his fall. It is quite large and makes me feel safe for him.

The product has two sides, a glossy gray top side and a matte, grippy black underside. The black underside grips the floor well and prevents the mat from shifting on hardwood. However, the gray top side feels unsettlingly slippery, especially when wearing socks. In addition, the amount of impact absorption was below expectations. To put it simply, it felt hard with very little give. I do not think this will be very suitable to prevent bedside falls.
