  • Best one yet! Resolved snoring, grinding and clenching.
This SO WORKS! My bottom jaw is smaller than my top as I was born with only three front bottom teeth which causes my bottom jaw to slide back resulting in snoring. I am not overweight. Don't smoke. Am generally healthy. I have tried EVERYTHING. CPAP (no!), mouth guards for grinding, nasal dilators, nasal sprays, the thing that holds your tongue out, throat exercises and SnoreLab tracking. I habitually practice lips together, teeth apart, tongue on the top of my mouth. Nothing has worked. I only ordered this as it was returnable. I followed fitting directions. Left it in its preset "neutral" position. Yes, it's a little bulky but much less so than others I've tried. Another reviewer suggested placing your tongue against the front opening, which I did. Went to bed with low expectations. Crazy surprised when I slept, hard, without issue. I grabbed my phone and checked my app and saw my score was 2! I listened to see if I made any sounds, snores, coughs or anything, and I only score a 2 as my cat was purring so loud! This worked! I didn't snore. My jaw was relaxed as I didn't (couldn't) grind. No headache since I wasn't clenching. My jaw was a little sore for the first few minutes upon waking, nothing horrible. As for the company, I made a small user error and emailed them to see if they could help, on a Saturday, and they immediately responded with the solution! Great customer service! I'm only one night in, but one night with real sleep is literally worth the cost alone. Try it. Ps not sponsored. Just SO GRATEFUL I can sleep, nap, vacation with friends and family and not be embarrassed and can wake up actually feeling rested. ... show more

  • I regret buying this
The plastic crease on the inside where the tongue naturally rest against it rubbed my tongue raw. I mean, why put a crease right there with a rib of plastic sticking up, you'd think this would've been tested for comfort. Maybe I could get sandpaper try to sand it down, but I paid $80, I don't think I should have to do that. I tried it for 3 nights and it just became unbearable. Unfortunately I regret buying this. I had hope that it would work. ... show more

  • This might work great for you
I really wanted this to work for me. 5 years ago I got a custom fitted devise (exactly the same idea as this product) from Kaiser Permanente and it definitely worked and was of very high quality plastic (unlike this one). The screws were metal inserts but three problem is that it would crack and I went through three of them in 5 years. Each cost $500! Not good. So when I saw this product I really wanted it to work. Problem, for me, was that the devise itself was just a wee bit to small for my mouth. The molding process was easy and it worked, but the grib on my upper teeth was terrible and it slipped right off energy night. So... If you don't have such a big mouth, it might work for you. The concept definitely worked for me (the Kaiser custom build) but I really don't see this particular one working for anyone unless "you fit the mold" right from the beginning. The company is great though. This review isn't about them. They kindly refunded the cost. Now that's another issues! It's super expensive and it's really cheap plastic. But hey, you might get it to work for you. I've just started using a devise that suctions to your tongue and pulls it forward so when you get in the snoring groove there isn't any vibration. Seems crazy, and it's weirder than monkey business but it's worked for me for two nights now. Plus it only cost $16. It's cheap plastic too but if it works I don't care. Maybe if we all got down to 15% body we're wouldn't snore so much and wouldn't need these devices. Whatever, I'm going to go have some ice cream. ... show more

  • Switched to VitalSleep from Zyppah
I have been a Zyppah user for almost 10 years. They work for me, but their price has been going up but at the same time the quality and durability has been going down. I am lucky to get 4 weeks out of a Zyppah now. I have tried several other mouth guard style snoring appliances and Vital Sleep has been the clear winner. It works just as well (for me) as the Zyppah, but is about half the price and these have been very durable. I can get almost 3 months use before I feel it is wearing out. I have had one device that I would consider a failure, where the screws seem to be stripped out and the adjustment does not hold, but overall I have been happy with the quality and effectiveness. ... show more

  • GREAT CONCEPT BUT DIDN'T WORK FOR ME
I've been searching for my snoring and this looked promising. It was really easy to make the mold of the teeth for both upper and lower. There are adjustments to elongate the jaw to ease the snoring. It all looked good BUT . . . The mouthpiece did not adhere to the top teeth while I was sleeping. It held firmly to the lower jaw but would dislodge from the top. I would wake up biting on the outer rim of the mold realizing that the teeth did not settle back into the upper mold. Once I got it back in, I noticed that the jaw would be back to the more closed position for only awhile. When I fell back into a deep sleep, the top would dislodge again and I was fishing around to get this attached to the upper teeth. It should be noted that it does not prevent snoring but reduces it substantially. The issue for me came when I was awaken by my jaw trying to lodge back into the upper mold. SO: PROS: it does reduce snoring, not eliminate it. It is easy to mold on the teeth which was a promising feature. It is adjustable. I like the idea that this will hold on to the teeth keeping teeth movement to an absolute minimum. CONS: It didn't adhere to my upper teeth when I was jarred awake. I needed to move the jaw and tongue to reposition it and close my mouth to get it back into position. It took some time to get use to and my jaw did ache. The first 4 nights were the most uncomfortable to wake up to. It took a week to get use to and the discomfort subsides within a few hours. Because the upper mold would dislodge and it caused me to fish around to get it back in, this simply did not work for me. I wanted to give it a good try since the mold would hold the teeth, mouth and jaw together. But my sleeping habits would have it dislodged when I rotated to my back and that work me up. It didn't work for me and I needed to return it. Everyone is different so I hope it works for you. ... show more
