Researched collagen peptides--they come from bovine hide/bones that are boiled down. Your body uses collagen for strength, and to maintain skin, nails and bones. Canister lists 18 grams of protein, but it is incomplete as it doesn't contain the amino acids that usual protein contains, so it says 0% daily requirement of protein. My nails, affected by brittle nail syndrome, seem to be growing a little and not peeling. I won't lie--even the unflavored version I got has a definite kind of weird taste. Powder dissolves easily into my cherry soda with no calories, but I still tasted it. My solution was to use an insulated mug with a lid--fill partially with water to dilute the 4 tbsp (recommended dose), stir with a long handled tea spoon, add a lot of ice. When drinking take a swig--then pinch your nose while swallowing--no aftertaste, and it's soon all gone. I have just begun trying this product so no other health benefits noted--yet. Will keep using, because the research indicates the collagen peptides are a good idea! ... show more

These travel packs are great for extended vacations. I usually use a large container of collagen to put in my coffee each morning when at home. The mixability of this brand is not my favorite. If your looking for a scoop it doesn't provide one. I started having joint pain my knee would hurt everyday. I saw the orthopedic had X-rays etc. I saw another brand for $40 and saw this brand for a lower price $14 I purchased and started using it. It's is tasteless, with Greek yogurt I started using the product immediately. Withing a few days I saw less stiffness then gradually the knee pain stopped.
