It’s significantly cheaper, yet surprisingly feature‑rich for its category. From a technical standpoint, this headset checks all the boxes that matter for mobile VR. It supports a wide range of smartphones (usually 4.7–6.7 inches), which is essential because compatibility issues can ruin the experience. The adjustable FD (Focus Distance) and PD (Pupil Distance) sliders are a big deal, many budget VR viewers skip these, but they’re crucial for reducing eye strain and achieving a clear image. The inclusion of anti‑distortion 3D lenses is another plus; these lenses help maintain clarity and reduce the “fish‑eye” warping effect that cheaper VR glasses often suffer from. This VR set is perfect for experiencing what VR viewing is all about. 3. Full VR Games (6DoF) - NOT Supported Since this headset does not have built-in sensors, positional tracking, no controllers and no onboard computing, you cannot play any VR games. This headset is only for viewing. The same goes for the VR apps, this cannot do. Again, it is for viewing only. Why am I giving it 5 stars? Mainly because it does all that it says! The build quality is amazingly good. It looks like a quality gadget and it is a quality gadget. It is an excellent VR viewer in "this price range". It allows different sized cell phones. Nothing feels cheapo or loose and IT WORKS! Overall, if you’re looking for a super affordable entry point into VR, this headset is genuinely a great buy. It delivers the essential features, solid comfort, and impressive lens quality at a price far below the typical VR market, making it an excellent value for gadget lovers like me.

It’s been many years since I got the cardboard version from google. I need reading glasses, so I was pleased that this one is equipped with proper lenses that you can adjust to your sight. In case you are wondering why this is cheaper than the Oculus or the Apple vision…. This device doesn’t come with any electronics. It’s meant to hold your phone at a close distance to your eyes while you want content that has been formatted for this kind of headset The plastic feels robust enough for the price. The adjustments allow you to change the distance between the lenses, and the distance between the lenses and the phone. Both combinations are needed depending on your sight and the producer of the content you’re watching. The controls to adjust it are easy to find while wearing the headset. The elastic strap can also be adjusted. I didn’t have the need because it fitted nicely out of the box It comes with a removable piece that you can remove or reinsert to accommodate to different phone sizes. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Plus and fits nicely with its case. The piece holding the phone is lined with rubber to avoid any scratches. It’s worth mentioning that it doesn’t come with any apps. To use it, you need to find your own provider of content. There are many providers with 3d games, videos and all sorts of experiences (wink, wink!). The 3d effect works fine, although it really depends on the content, not the headset. If you are unsure about content providers, there are a lot of VR-compatible videos on YouTube. The only down side, is that you can’t operate your phone’s touchscreen while using it. For that, you probably need a more advanced type, or maybe some sort of Bluetooth remote that allows you to pause, fast forward or rewind your video. The same goes for 3d games, for which you will need your separate controller.

Does anyone have any actual apps to download all I’m finding are apps that you import your own photos into and videos . And apps not compatible with this remote as well as apps that ask you to pay . The apps mentioned in the instruction guide don’t work

Bought this for casual 3D videos and rollercoaster apps, and it has been a lot of fun. A lot of phone-based VR goggles claim to fit bigger screens but end up squeezing the phone so hard they constantly trigger the volume or power buttons—this one actually has enough room in the front cradle for a 6.7-inch screen without pinching anything. The all-white finish also looks really clean and modern in person. A few practical things I noticed after using it for a couple of weeks: Comfort & straps: The foam face padding is thick and soft enough that it doesn't leave deep marks around your eyes after 20 minutes. The head strap is easy to adjust and shortens down enough to fit kids securely without sliding down their noses. Lens adjustments: The individual dials for focus and pupil distance make a huge difference. I was able to tweak the lenses until the picture was sharp without needing to try and jam my everyday reading glasses inside the visor. Phone security: The front clasp holds the phone tightly in place so it doesn't rattle or slide out of alignment when you turn your head quickly. Obviously, since it's a phone-powered headset, your picture quality is going to depend on your phone's screen resolution and the apps you download, but for casual VR games and 3D YouTube videos, it performs really well for the price.

We mainly got this VR reality headset for the kids, but we wound up liking it as well. It's very easy to set up and you don't have to assemble anything. You literally just adjust the straps to your comfort, put in your phone, and go into virtual reality. My kids like watching roller coaster videos or Disneyland rides. There are a lot of options to watch on YT for these types of headsets. Good product, would recommend.
