Good for starters. Sound qualities not the greatest but if you let your ears adjust for a minute it’s good. It’s grips work amazingly well and im sure it could take a fall. My best friend had a seizure one night and he ended up falling right on my record player, and it barley moved at all. I did some research and I found out that record players like this can actually damage and warp your records so I’ll be upgrading very soon. I would upgrade either way though because of the sound quality. Other than that I love the briefcase design. There's nothing not to like about this cute little record player. It's a no-brainer at the price if you want to spin some old vinyl - and you're not an audio freak. (The autostop is a little too early for some 45s, but you can toggle this off.)

I got this record player for my 6 yr old granddaughters. They figured out how it works quickly and enjoyed listening to some of my old "kiddie" vinyl. I also used it to play some 1940-50's vintage 78 rpm records. It worked flawlessly and had that perfect brassy sound. We've used it many times with no issues.
