- Usage Tip: The key to successfully repairing cracks is to apply the proper amount of vinyl glue adhesive to the patch and spread it evenly. Vinyl glue is a solvent-based adhesive, so it is not recommended to apply too much or too thick an amount of adhesive to a lightweight patch to prevent the patch from softening, curling, or further damaging the surface of the repair, which could affect the repair

I used this Bondtech Vinyl Cement (4.4oz size) to secure a tear in my 2 year old greenhouse to get us through another year and it is holding well now in February-yay! Have also used it for a couple of other small things (sticking covers on (not braided) PEX pipe ends, and patching a plastic bird feeder tray). A little goes a long way, and, if you put a tiny bit of vaseline on the threads of the can lid outside (be sure not to get the vaseline into the cement) it will keep the lid/brush easy to get on and off so this can will last you for MANY projects and repairs. Be sure to use this in a well ventilated area, (but I sort of like the smell as it reminds me of my could-build/fix-absolutely-ANYTHING-Pop! I'm still adapting & modifying, Daddy!!! : } )

This Vinyl cement is exactly what I needed to patch everyday vinyl projects. Makes it easy to just brush and go. Just make sure the glue and the vinyl goes where you want it because it's probablyl not going to come off afterwards.

Purchased to make a repair on a dinghy on my boat. Something was pulling apart on the side tube on the dinghy. I used this product to resecure. it went on well and seemed to hold for a while so I had hoped it was a good alternative repair. With all the rain it is starting to come apart again. I very well could be the hyperlon material of the dinghy but this did not work for me.
