You either need an electrician or someone mechanically smart to install this. If you buy good bulbs and a dimmer switch, (which, why wouldn't you) those things will cost more than chandelier itself. It is way too bright with regular bulbs with no dimmer as you can see from other reviews. I couldn't take it even with the leds. Trust me, you will want to be able to adjust brightness. Good led bulbs will be between 8 to 20 dollars. Dimmer switch was 25. Picture I included is at highest brightness before dimmer was installed. ... show more

A neighbor of ours had purchased this same chandelier in gold and we were so impressed with the quality that we decided to buy one as well. The final result exceeded our expectations and really allowed our dining area to shine. Although our recessed lighting did an adequate job of lighting the space, it's true purpose was to act as a focal point in the room. I'd highly recommend a dimmer switch (which we already had) since the chandelier does produce quite a bit of light and allows you greater control depending on whether the space is being used during the day or evening. We didn't install it ourselves but the electrician said it was a breeze. There are multiple rods included depending on your ceiling height drop preferences. I only wish those rods had been in six-inch increments instead of ten so that we could have hung ours just a bit lower. ... show more

Very happy with this chandelier. Loved that they were almost totally assembled-arms just needed the last step of being screwed in and it was very easy to install. I also like the look of only 8 lights- less busy than the ones with more and doesn't overwhelm my smaller space and low-ish ceilings. My only note is that I bought amber edison bulbs and I don't like the color when not in use with the nickel finish (like in the picture in the listing), I'm switching to clear LED edisons- but this is a personal preference thing. Love love love this light! Great price and nice quality. Let’s off great light (use Edison LED bulbs). So much less expensive than other Sputnik chandeliers online. Received so many compliments. If you’re looking for a mid-century look, this light is for you.

Great light fixture. We went with the antique amber lightbulbs and for our space it would have been better to use normal white ones—too dim for regular usage. Agree with other comments that a dimmer is a must since the full light is almost blinding (with the amber at night it’s either too bright or too dim it seems—but I do have dark walls which may be a factor). 8 bulbs provide a lot of light—possibly better if it were only 6. Next time I would get the LED lightbulbs rather than the normal ones recommended—they’re more efficient and more cool (again 8 bulbs produce a lot of heat). But for the price, love the design. Easy to assemble and install (non-electrician husband did it himself—fit the existing frame). ... show more

The finish is nicely done, the construction of the fixture is pretty solid, and the wiring was easy and seems like they used good quality materials. I installed incandescent Edison bulbs, which burn very hot compared to LEDs and other types of bulbs, but I just don't think the LED Edison bulbs look as good. As for the fixture itself though, you can't go wrong if you use the right type of bulb. I would not install those twisty flourescent bulbs in this fixture, it would look cheap, so the cost to install this fixture will go up above just the purchase price, as you will also need good bulbs. Great piece! Great quality! Very happy with this purchase. The gold tone is beautiful, more like an aged gold not too yellow. I purchased Ascher E26 dimmable in daylight white 6W. I really loved how bright it the room looked, like a stadium! But is dimmable. My husband didn’t like it so bright, so I will be changing them for the same brand but in the antique type that gives a softer light ... show more
