My first Viltrox and my first fast lens for my Fuji camera and it delivers great image quality for its price. All the reviews on YouTube were surprisingly right. Sharp as a tack. Sharper than the XF 16mm f/2.8WR and the 50mm f/2WR and that is wide open at at f/1.2. Bokeh like buttah. Wish it it had closer minimum focus but with my 40MP X-H2 and this lens you can crop in without worries. Only time will tell if the build quality holds up. I bought this elsewhere, but I wanted to give it a review. I adore this lens. It's a near 40mm equivalent on the FujiFilm XT-5. I'd say I use it more than just about any lens in my collection now. Sharp and fast. I only use it with available light. A few negatives: 1 - It doesn't play nice with every Fuji Film Simulation. I don't really care for the rendering using Velvia at all. I've been pretty happy with both Reala Ace and Acros R. 2 - Shooting into the sun (think sunrise/sunset) can be be pretty ugly. 3 - This isn't about the lens itself, but the lens hood and cap are terrible. I lost the cap long ago, and the hood falls off constantly. I replaced the cap with a cheap aftermarket one, and it stays on without issue. If the lens hood had a lock, it would be ideal. If you like the 40mm equivalent field of view and having a very fast lens, I really don't think you can go wrong. ... show more

I normally only buy fujifilm lenses but I thought I would give this lens a try. I'm so happy I bought this lens. The lens is so awesome that I don't use my fujifilm lenses. Fujifilm XF16mmF1.4 R WR costs almost twice as much and the pictures I can take with the fujifilm don't compare to this Viltrox lens. I highly recommend this lens. ... show more

My main lens I'm using right now to shoot in dark environments. I like the field of view on my Fuji cameras, not too wide and not too narrow. So far I'm very happy with the shots I'm getting and the autofocus is fast. Viltrox is a brand that is on the fast track of offering very competitive quality for the price.
